DF-S-I Engine Type 3
Like most of the technology used by the Blood Dragons, the DF series of ship propulsion systems are based on centuries-old early Imperial Kusari designs. Having been blessed with an abundance of fuel, early Kusari systems were focused more on power than efficiency. The Dragons stuck with this formula, refining the DF series to grind the absolute maximum performance out of a dated design and keep maintenance simple rather than follow newer trends. The Dragons' modern engines are easily competitive with modern designs in terms of performance, though they do lack efficiency. This type is designed for Freighters.
