      >>>WARNING: HIGH RADIATION AREA<<<

The Omega-41 fragment field is all that remains of the system's planets following the planetary nova which occurred shortly before the arrival of humans in the Sirius sector.

      Wrecks

      Independence - D/E-4

The remains of the IMG freighter Independence. The ship is part of the failed IMG effort to establish Diamond mining operations in Omega-41.

      Contains:

      Volsung - D/C-4

The wreck of the Red Hessian fighter Volsung. The ship belonged to an elite pilot.

      Contains:

      The Decembrist - F-4

This Hammerhead has been cut almost in half by a vicious hull breach carved up its left side, with distinctive, angry scorch marks indicative of a Natterturm-series laser burn shearing across the ship from that angle. Telemetry data from the wreck indicates that the vessel eventually burst into flame following a rupture of the main fuel line, and today it is little more than a burnt-out husk.

The ship's logs indicate that this ship belonged to a Libertonian pilot -- Frankie 'Lucky' Day, a rising star among Bounty Hunters in the near Omicrons. A known veteran of this area of space, his aim with a full spread of Buckshots was said to be shaky at best, but his skill at maneuvering his ship bought time for the one lucky shot that always seemed to connect.

      Contains:

      Djinn - F-4

A Hammerhead wreck languishing in space, this ship's aft section has been torn wide open. Tungsten shards litter the affected area, deeply embedded in the hull. The nature of the damage appears to indicate a premature mine detonation, with the shape of the affected area and severity of the damage suggesting that the ordnance exploded almost immediately after being launched.

The pilot's log makes mention of the ship's owner: a Bretonian by the name of Sara Khansari, a Bounty Hunter of some renown with tens of kills to her name, and an apparent predilection for a bold, daring flight style. The last entry details her intention to pursue reports of Hessian targets in the Omega-41 system, alongside a fellow veteran Hunter.

      Contains:

      The Wolf - G-7

The wreckage of the Wolf, a Hessian Odin. At first glance, the ship appears to have suffered no direct damage. Upon further inspection, however, the ship's engine is completely disabled, likely due to an electrical failure due to the radiation emitting from the system's Neutron Star. It is possible the engine was already damaged as a result of a skirmish with the Corsairs. The pilot's fate is unknown.
