UNT "Emancipator" Unioner Cruiser Turret
This turret appears to be the largest mass produced cannon in Pacifica's inventory. If sensor readings are correct, the Emancipator follows the Unioner convention of disguising a sophisticated, modular anti-ship weapon in a byzantine, unimposing shell. Close inspection shows that the cannon contains advanced beam attenuators, current-generation microtransistors and field focusing equipment containing trace design elements extracted from the various wrecks littering the Independent Worlds, although the overall system appears innovatively unique, with no obvious ancestor. Possibly due to financial restrictions, the cannon lacks heat sinks, instead discharging spent coolant directly out of the barrel, creating distinctive muzzle flashes. Eyewitness accounts attest that the Republican traders presented by the green glow of the Emancipator are quick to emancipate themselves from their credits, rather than risk emancipation from their lives.
