This is all I can think of to do for the commodities. Discuss.Chovynz 07:19, 18 September 2008 (GMT)

Looks good. Put a link to an example commodity in the article. And you forgot the Category:Commodities. I removed all the Description headings (as you may have noticed). I've also PMed Igiss and asked if he can help us out getting those icons without having to screenshot them individually. How to dig up the text from the mod files? --Looqas 07:28, 18 September 2008 (GMT)

1. I think "Image:any.jpg|frame|right|anything" would be better than "Image:any.jpg|thumb|right|anything", because you don't see the ugly and unnecessary "Enlarge"-symbol.

2. Shouldn't we add mining locations to an own list like the availability?

3. Is it better to rename availability to selling locations, because we have to add another heading - mining locations?

No need for thumb. It was just a way to have those frames, which can be done with "frame". I think we can change all the commodities to be like what you suggested.
The thing with commodities is that there are going to come a lot of new ones in 4.85 and the selling locations of the old ones can change too. So putting a lot of effort right now can be somewhat waste of time. It's good to think the template ready before 4.85. The Minable header is a link where all the minable commodities are already listed. I have no opinion about the point 2) you raise. Some of the commodities already have a "selling location" header. And that is problem because we now have two "templates" in use and the situation will get worse every time someone copy pastes new commodity. That's why I try to point the new editors to our Style Guide to avoid this situation. --Looqas 08:00, 29 October 2008 (MDT)
I quite agree with you in point 2. My mistake. And I will sort out the selling locations.

Good work! Thanks for sorting out the selling/availability issue as well as doing the "framing". The commodities look good now. --Looqas 02:48, 30 October 2008 (MDT)

Image Filetypes

Now i decided to create GIFs for the small images, because it saves some KBs and you won't see any difference to JPGs. --0815fips 21:52, 29 July 2009 (GMT+1)

Ok, That's ok. I wouldn't worry about the file size though. I am a very staunch image /graphic designer so I'm keep an eye on the pictures. Any image that get to big I'll redo myself or remove it.
Most images are fine as jpg, since gif's can look pixelly. I'd prefer you to use .jpg's where possible.
