Ramshackle vessels built of spit and ingenuity... But mostly spare parts... The oversized and underpowered Crows are the nimble strike fighter of choice for those pilots who favor dizzying speed over a compact frame.

Although this ship may have a couple of large guns, that doesn't mean it is good. For example, it has a small power core. With the best guns you can fit, you will hardly shoot for 6 or 7 seconds before you run out of stamina. Handling wise, it is not exactly responsive, and the hull isn't as good as I first thought. But, this ship does look rather vulgar, and all the weapons are close to the centre, meaning good accuracy. And if keep your enemies away from your top and bottom, you should be all right. Despite what I said at first, this a okay ship. But there are other options for less credits- The Kingfisher, Centurion, Liberator, Hammerhead.....The list keeps on going. If it were me, I would get a Hammerhead.Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by God |

Review (4.86)
The Crow is a unique ship. Perhaps the best thing to compare it to would be the Spatial. Like the Spatial, it offers impressive firepower and excellent handling for its class, at the cost of a very large frame. The Crow turns like a Light Fighter and can easily dance around any heavier snub. And with four Class 9 guns, two Class 8 guns, and one forward firing Heavy fighter turret, it packs a pretty nasty punch, as well. Obviously though, all of this comes at a price. This thing is enormous for a fighter, comparable to a freighter or small gunboat. To make matters worse, its hull and repair capacity are only average for a HF, and it has a standard HF power core of 9 000. This means its seven forward firing guns will empty its energy supply extremely quickly. To remedy this, I use a loadout of two Wildfire Chain guns, two Purple Goddess chain guns, one Purple Goddess turret, one Firestalker and one Cannonball missile, along with Screamer mines. Five guns, almost perfectly centered, means it still deals conventional damage nicely, while its superb agility eases the use of well-timed missile salvos. This ship must be flown like a light fighter, never stop, never joust, keep moving and engage your target with quick, accurate bursts.Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Karst |
