His skills both in combat and espionage were extremely useful for both Rheinwehr units on the field and the Oberkommando for planning strikes against Liberty's economy and military infrastructure in the Rheinland-Liberty war. Cool headed undercover and a berserker in battle, making him a good add to almost any kind of missions. Awarded multiple times both as a soldier and an agent. Investigation had started against him and one of his wingmen, Agent Simone Brunn for treason, he was not seen in Rheinland territory since then, reported to be lost in deep Omicron systems by Senior Agent Franz Leiche.

Feldwebel Larsen, 315th Marine Corps,
Stuttgart Ground Forces
Gunnar Larsen was born on Planet Stuttgart as the second child of Lars Henriksen and Eerika Lindström. Nothing is known about his older sister, probably left for Bretonia in the outbreak of the Nomad War. The parents are living on Planet Baden Baden.

After high school, Larsen applied to military service and started his career in the ground forces of Stuttgart. Larsen was known for his tactical and planning skills, making him climbing ranks faster than any of his comrades. Noteworthy his healthy lifestyle, he was never seen drinking any alcohol or smoking, rather he haven't left the training field before he finished every exercise he planned for a day. After 3 years of service, he left the ground forces for the 2nd Fleet, where he handled the Wraith like his carbine, fast and deadly. His killcount went up to 30 in just one year against criminals, revolutionarists and corsair forces when his unit was attacked in Omega-7. Gunnar was injured in the mentioned corsair ambush and barely got out alive. For his valor in combat, he was awarded with the Iron Cross, followed by Knight's Cross 2nd Class a month later.

Few weeks after receiving his medal when the Marinenachrichtendienst noticed the young pilot and marked him as a potential agent-in-training. At first approach, Larsen refused the offer in favour of his unit, but a month later, he approached the Senior Agent to request his reassignment. What made his mind change is unknown.

Larsen was also known for his nationalist attitude, though he wasn't a blind follower of the actual Kanzler, he was commited to Rheinland and it's people and culture one hundred percent. He also showed great interest in mythology named 'Norse', thus the tattoo, showing a Mjölnir on his forehead.

In the Marinenachrichtendienst

In 815 A.S., Larsen became an agent-in-training in the ranks of the Rheinland Miltiary Marinenachrichtendienst along with Simone Brunn, his later wingman in many operations between 816 and 818. Agent Thomas Bauer was assigned to oversee the training of the two agent-in-trainings and was extremely pleased with Larsen's performance. At that time, there were no room to put more agents to the field, mainly because of the low budget following the establishment of the Büro der Marineintelligenz, which caused ugly rivalry between the two units. For years, the two recruits had done espionage missions and small tasks for the Oberkommando.

818 A.S. was a turning point in Larsen's career, when Agent Jonas Reichter and Agent Thomas Bauer mysteriously disappeared at Schatten, the BDM's Headquarters. According to malicious and probably fabricated reports, both were infested by former Senior Agent Hans Eckhard and the BDM took care of the problem. Not believing the lies, Larsen swore revenge for his former mentor and the anger showed in his performance as a positive effect. Both missing agents were replaced by Larsen and Brunn. It's said that Larsen was romantically attracted to Simone Brunn, however that information wasn't confirmed by officials.

In the same year, Agent Larsen reported over 200 destroyed vessels, including Liberty Navy Guardians and cargo transports, 2 successful espionage missions and several assistances of regular Rheinwehr forces in Texas. Not serving only at the frontline, Larsen also assisted against Hessians in his home system, Stuttgart along with Rhenwehr forces. That was the time he became famous for his battle cries and ruthless behaviour against enemies of Rheinland. In 818 A.S. he was the most talented Agent, both Franz Leiche and Helmut Wecht proposed his promotion to Senior Agent, which never happened due to his later disappearance.

Last mission and disappearance

Agent Larsen,
fighting Order along with Hans Eckhard
In late 818 A.S. Gunnar Larsen and Simone Brunn applied to a rather difficult mission in deep Omicron systems. Their objectives were to gather intel on Order fleet movements and Nomad activity, avoiding conflict with local armed forces if possible. The mission wasn't supposed to end in failure, yet it did when multiple reports suggested the two met Senior Agent Hans Eckhard. His intentions were unknown as no official reports were found about his private actions, but the event changed both Agents. Brunn and Larsen became more agressive and hostile towards foreign forces and compromised Rheinland's position in the sector.

A month after the incident, Agent Larsen was seen side by side with Hans Eckhard against Order vessels in Omicron Delta by an undercover agent in the Corsairs, causing a minor diplomatic fallout between the two organizations. Official communications suggests the Order treated the Agents as hostiles in a previous mission led by Senior Agent Franz Leiche and Larsen went on a private action for retaliation. The agent failed to report back on MND's Headquarters and nobody heared from him since then. The current Rheinwehr Oberkommando reported him as M.I.A. and also captured his wingman, Simone Brunn who knew nothing about the disappeared Agent. It's possible that Larsen's disappearance was the reason Brunn commited treason with defecting to the Red Hessian Army later.

However, two months later, Gunnar Larsen was seen again in the Omega systems, slaughtering Corsair forces, reports an MND patrol wing. The leader of the unit attempted to communicate with him, in vain. The wing chased Larsen's damaged Wraith, which managed to reach a jumphole, leading deeper in the Walker Nebula. After the failed attempt to bring Larsen back for questioning, he was officially listed as M.I.A. by the MND since nothing indicates his death and he was known as a skilled survivor.

Rumors

Recent reports tell about a pilot with the very same attitude flying in the Omega systems in the past weeks. Connections between this individual and former Agent Gunnar Larsen were denied by official reports.
