Discovery Gaming Community

Somehow I doubt it's rated G.
I got the game sitting in my shelf and - due to other age restriction thingymajiggies - it's for 12+
Thus I would assume, so is Discovery

Might be PG if you're lucky. Mild swearing (aka talking like a 5years old that never watched a second of TV, has no access to the Internet and isn't allowed to leave the basement) and indicating the act of violence (or directly stating a fact as in -X shot Y-) sure are alright. You don't dare to try being more graphical even in those harmless descriptions though. On the other hand, abuse of medicaments and slavery are alright if not depicted in utmost detail.

I wonder how there is no clarity in all the years of Discovery. To be honest, I personally don't give a shit about that stupid picture, since I block whatever I don't want to see. On the other hand I wonder why one feels desperately to show some weird grotesque pictures as an avatar. But well, there are enough people out there that enjoy the weird parts of the internet.

I dont see anything wrong with the avatar. only thing i see is some over sensitive gook that gets scared of a drawing. Are missiles going to be replaced with marshmallows because explosions are scawy?

Next fun fact is that it's just Discovery I so far had the questionable pleasure with when it comes to this kind of censoring. In literally every other RPG that has a player-driven community website it's just the really hard stuff that isn't allowed, like porn, snaff and ... well, that's it usually. And I've yet to find a RP-community where people report others for their RP or what they wrote, and this got sanctioned then by the, remember, community-ran RP-forum administrators.

That moment when someone gets offended by a drawn meme that was edited in paint and now it has red paint not only white and black.
