Surprising, yeah? Hardly expect to see a hogosha transport pulled out of the ass-end of the Neu Berlin trade artery. So we're going to be candid with the Hogosha; I don't have any great desire to sic my pilots on the goods of those who share a common interest without an overlapping market - you keep the Artifact trade locked down in the north, we keep the goods flowing in the south.

Considering that we've already attempted to bridge communication with ya'll, you'd think we'd be peachy square, not boxcuttering you in the ass.

If you don't get in touch I'm going to have to treat you by writ. As foreign traders, you being hogs makes you the exception, not the rule. I charge low because extorting the extorters is a great way to get my head on a pike - but don't push it. We're here to go to work on the GMG, not at each other, feel me?

Greetings herr Riehl-san, of the Unioners. It is with great interest we have received your message, for it's been a long while since any trail of Unioner movements has been lost by our Associates. My name is Tokiomi Katagawa, the man with the gift of word and connections from the Association, much like your Armin Jansen-san was to you. I hope he finds himself in good health.

Word of your encounter with our transports came slowly but surely, as rheinland has been filled with rumours of activity but little to experience in terms of threats. While our pilot was surely taken aback by your stance, I hope he has conducted himself properly in the situation.

Like I've mentioned in the past, there is great potential in joint efforts, but nothing between the Association and the Union, in whatever form it presents, has been set in stone. Cordiality and understanding might be achieved by the leadership, but without something more consistent and set in word, the agent in the field will ignore the importance of having a good friend in thy neighbors.

In the same vein, our offers for talks are valid. The Association has interests in providing goods and supplies that the Unioners might be wanting, and benefit from a strong arm on the south to suppress the Gas Cartel ambitions upon our houses. From the Unioners, we would be interested in partaking on some intel regarding the advances of foreign interests in Rheinland and Sigmas, as well in relieving you of any excess goods or equipment you may have no use and are willing to exchange for a good price.

Let me know of any pressing matters you wish to resolve, and a time and place to discuss them. Either I or a designated representative will meet you or welcome you at our installations for an evening of talks and fraternization.

With our cordial regards.
Tokiomi Katagawa, representative of the Hogosha Association.

Hold it.

This kind of nascent content goes well above anythin' I'm trained to deliberate. I'll be handing this upstream to the proper authorities. Patching comms now.

Subject: A session.

It seems we are both the subjects of fortune. Good or ill? That is for men to decode.

Post-deliberation, our beloved Arbeitsdirektor has deemed it fitting for me to meet with you. Since you already know of our operations in Munich, Munich will serve as appropriate neutral ground.

The provision of intel is cognisant on our will to provide. As you state yourself - we lack the critical foundations of trust. There are no stones to keep us out of the sand.

The nerualnet is a fitting location for friends to deliberate in security, but between unknowns it is nothing short of a hinderance. I propose a rendezvous in sector Bruno Zwei, deep within the Reichsarbeitergesellschaft controlled zone. We will be safe from harassment.

You may bring escorts if you so desire. I will certainly bring mine - but our own crafts, as diplomats, are to be of minimal defensive potential - shuttle or freighter size, yes, but not a ton higher. Those are the terms of our rendezvous, Hogosha.

Do not consider my inherent caution as dishonour, disrespect or misapprehension. Nothing could be further from the truth. I take these measures because I am cognisant of your abilities.

As the adage flies: I will see you in space.

Regards,
Armin Jansen.

So good to hear from you again, Mr. Jansen.

You meeting proposal is sound, and aligned with our interests. We may have the opportunity to meet today. I'll leave the time decision to you.
