The Augus Clan was founded after the recognition by the previous Daimyo Kijima after observing Yatoji's ability for administrative and scientific works; something that was found lacking in the almost cult-like lunacy of the Tears of Izanagi prior to their re-integration with the Blood Dragons.

Yatoji's planning of logistical and reconnaissance missions proved to be a strong asset to the former Daimyo Kijima in which his missions not only meant the safe return of many {ToI} Members but also their "acquired" cargo. Yatoji is also a decorated combat pilot having scored the first major kill for The Tears of Izanagi, a Corvo class cruiser and had assisted in the defense of Sirius against multiple Nomad threats, which sparked his interest in their irregular and powerful technologies, in hopes that they could be utilized against the Nomads.

Since the clan's inception, they have continued to be the sole provider of technological advancements for the Blood Dragon main fleet, such as the widely used covert ops bombers that have proven effective in pirating operations throughout Kusari and the border worlds.

With the onset of year 825 A.S, Civil Strife have been initiated within the Augus by the adopted daughter of the Clan - Sakurai Augus, that have staked a claim upon Okinawa system - and a title of Daimyo Augus; seeking to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, Yatoji Augus cancelled the initial strife, handled the event and challenged Sakurai for a fair duel, providing his terms and conditions. Those were accepted, duel has commenced and finished pretty fast - Sakurai reigned supreme, fulfilling her claim and finally allowing Yatoji Augus to retire, starting a new age for Augus clan.
