The Sabre is the fruit of the Border Worlds' ingenuity and pure capitalism coalesced into one lethal embodiment. This ship boasts enormous power capacity as well as extreme defensive capability.

Review Reduced mass makes this fighter very responsive to all strafing manuevers, while its grand total of seven forward firing guns (6 guns, 1 turret) enables it to deliver more firepower than most VHFs would be capable of. Despite its speed and firepower however, one will quickly notice that the Sabre is not the smallest of fighters, and its energy reactor limits its firepower potential. While an almost even match for the Titan, the Sabre needs to nonetheless work a lot more to outmanuever enemy ships and is therefore best suited for skilled pilots. Review The Sabre is one of the powerful ships in Freelancer. Each Weapon is able to fire forward. This Ship has not got a perfect power core for lvl 10 weapons like the LSF Avenger but it can use them if the pilot just firing each 3 sec. The Sabre is a ship for pirating and attacking, so that this is the perfect ship for everyone who likes to use fighters. Review After being a top dog among the Very Heavy Fighters, this ship has been nerfed. Nowadays it's handling is poor for a ship of it's class, and the power core is subpar for a Very Heavy Fighter, depending on your load out, you may find that the Sabre in 4.89 struggles to support firing all guns and the turret included, I also found that it's shape makes it easier to SNAC than most other fighters in 1v1 dogfights against bombers.
