Announcing a new type of Zoner ID sold on the Carrier Tarrafal in Bering, an Official Faction request by

After recent developments in the Bering system, the Zoner carrier Tarrafal has recently arrived from Pennsylvania where it is preparing to retake Freeport 2 from the pirates who currently occupy the station.

Pilot carrying this quasi-lawful ID is a Zoner combatant belonging to the Carrier Tarrafal, who:

- Can attack any ship in self-defense, to protect another Zoner ship, or in defense of Zoner bases.
- Can demand cargo and credits from any ship in the Bering system, and attack them if they do not comply.
- Can attack any ship in the Bering system except transports.
- Can attack any Unioners within their Zone of Influence except transports.
- Cannot dock Cruisers on any base within House Sovereign Space.
- Cannot dock transports with more than 3,600 cargo on any base within House Sovereign Space.
- Cannot participate in unlawful actions except as described above.

Zone of Influence: Bering, Systems bordering Bering
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats, Cruisers

Compatible tech cells: Zoners, Border Worlds, Civilian, House Civilian

Rephacks: Hostile to Unioners, Pirate IFF, Separatists

Edit: Also, the following changes have been made to the Zoner ID.

Will be changed to

Quote:- Can attack any ship in self-defense, to protect another Zoner ship except Zoner Militant ships, or in defense of Zoner bases except Carrier Tarrafal.

Might be a bit too late for that now, given that the attention has shifted elsewhere.

Although I was an opponent of the whole ZA thing, seeing this ID does have me thinking a few ideas...

What are its rephacks?

Even though I've always given agressive zoner factions hate among voice chats, I cannot deny that this both fits in RP as well as being interesting and fun to play as. Definitely making me one later.

EDIT:Will this have a accompanying restart?

Good catch, hostile to Unioners, Separatists and Pirate IFF. The Tarrafal will be changed to Zoner Guard in the next patch so we can rephack the Separatists and Unioners hostile to the Bering Zoners.

How is this not in conflict with the following statement?

The problem with the original Tarrafal is that it was an Aquilon and the infocard (which still needs to be replaced) implied the Zoners were a monolithic organization. The current plot is that it is a Bustard crewed by a Zoner group from Pennsylvania rather than a unified effort by Zoners everywhere.

Why are they called Zoners then? In what way are they still Zoners? A militant agenda of fighting to take back what was once theirs fits a rebel organisation more than a wide range of people named after the only common thing among them being rather fleeing from than fighting control for freedom.
