Built in 826 A.S by the Norfolk Shipyard, the Shenandoah, a Liberty Dreadnought of the Overlord class was built and intended to serve on the Gallic front lines, mainly in the California system to release preassure Battleship Alma was receving. The Shenandoah was one of the many conventional Liberty Dreadnoughts - however it received a significant compliment of crew, with an experienced Captain, Alice Heyes, who was a veteran of Rheinland-Liberty war and went on to serve up until the end of the conflict. Upon completion of the construction, the Liberty Dreadnought was sent to oversee the terraforming operations on Planet California Minor where it held off the presence of Gallic Royal Navy whom was striking at all sides in the system, however upon announcement of Operation Vanguard in Cortez system, Shenandoah started to shine as a special warship as she took helm of the patrol base in the system, holding off until the Battleship Betheny was destroyed with Yukon returned to California system - unfortunately, Liberty lost Yukon however thankful, Gallic Royal Navy started to calm their operations down in California, as they re-routed more resources into New London. With this Battleship Shenandoah was recalled back to Norfolk Shipyard for refits and repairs - it was a surprise for new commanding officer, as the fate of Los Angeles citizens was in the ship's hands. Upon Shenandoah's arrival in dry dock, it received significant upgrades to systems and the weaponry placement, adding up three additional secondary turrets.

With Shenandoah's repairs and refits finished at the end of the month, Shenandoah was sent direct Gallic front line: the New London system. With the Cortez cleansed from the enemy's presense, allied supply ships had been given major breathing room, together with the other allied forces. Shenandoah arrived within days, and it wasn't long before the expected rapid push by Gallia happened, since the Operation Ice Lance proceeded to disrupt the enemy supply lines in the Tau-31 system. With that, it forced a hand for the Gallic Military, proceeding to make a terrible mistake which the costed them their entire super armada - but not Battleship Dax which proceed to siege the Planet New London's surface before retreating, making significant damage to several major cities and those minor ones and it's infrastrutures. With the victory against main Gallic invasion force, allies went on the offensive for first time in years to repcature the Leeds system and ave it from the terrible fate that was being prepared by Gallic Forces, Gallia, having a concern that allies would breach the Leeds via the gate they built and established, had deployed with conjunction of Gallic Royal Intelligence, the Montagne prototype weapon platforms which proceeded gut Battleship Ottawa - head of the battlegroup - upon entering Leeds system due to defectors transfering the jump gate codes.

Shenandoah was second to enter the Leeds system, and upon witnessing the Ottawa being destroyed, Shenandoah's Captain Alice Heyes immediately ordered the evasive maneuvers which saved the vessel from destruction from massively modified bomber corona beams - the crew was very lucky that the weapon platforms were damaged from firing a second time and thus Shenandoah proceeded to exchange fire with the enemy until allied forces arrived to clean up remnants of the defense fleet, however it was too late for the Planet Leeds and it's system as it was laid in ruin by remaning Gallic Forces which did not surrender to provisional government, which month later called themselves the Royal Enclave. Upon Battleship Norfolk's arrival at the Leeds orbit, Shenandoah was ordered back to the Liberty space for further upgrading as the Admiralty was impressed with the vessel's and crew's adaptability - she was escorted by the Liberty Security Force members to Liberty space up until the New York system. Upon arrival at Norfolk, Battleship received a compliment of special enhancement upgrades which went on to be used later on strategically, and mostly repairs. The Shenandoah proceeded to patrol the Colorado system, but not for long as the Shenandoah was called to reinforce the Battleship Rio Grande and her battlegroup as the Battleship Carcassonne proceeded to flee the opposition due to her supply lines being cut for too long and Ageira Technologies taking back control of Magellan Jump gate back to Liberty forces. Fearing that the Gallic Royal Enclave warship would do damage to the civilian infrastructure in independent worlds or proceed to ram the Planet Los Angeles, Liberty Navy was ordered to hunt down the vessel, however, the Valor surrender to the Battleship Alma and Battleship Concord following their return from New London system.

With the Gallic threat over in the Liberty, Shenandoah took many objectives which led her to be refitted into state-of-the-art Mitchell class Battleship with the Triple Hull design. Most notable operation which Shenandoah was involved in recent years was the Magellan incident which saved both the LNS Loyalist, 5th fleet gunboat and the LNS Louisiana, secondary fleet battlecruiser from being captured by terrorist organization known as Hellfire Legion within Barrier Nebula. Later on the Battleship would take part in clearing the Bering system with Battleship Concord and her cohort from criminal elements, and Liberty Navy successfully did, but for the cost of losing Captain Alice Heyes into coma. With that, the ship was transferred to the first fleet which played a major role as to why fifty procent of the crew decided re-assign to different ships, however in short time, the holes were filled with many greenhorns who were of various nationalities, including Gallic, making it the second most distinguished vessel in Liberty Navy. Currently, Shenandoah is commanded by Admiral Marcus Robinson, whom went on to harass heavily the criminal element known as Liberty Insurgency.

It is unknown how long Shenandoah will stay in service, however, her reputation as an elite guardian of the Liberty has been noted by many, and it continues to serve the ship and the people who want to live free in freedom and peace in the Sirius sector, and will remain a reminder that there's something monstrous waiting to however undermines the people's will and power to choose.
