Tax the Zoner profiteers to bits, that will pay for yer bloody civilian recovery.
Confiscate Freeport 1 from them while you are at it, that monstrosity of extravagance was paid for with their blood money while Bretonian burnt for 10 years.

I am surprised that more people have not caught on to the lie that is Zoner neutrality. Freeports are only free in the sense that "anything goes" - and their occupants are usually all too eager to turn a profit on anything that passes through. These safe havens are only safe havens from the law, and typically serve as markets for illicit goods. In the end, the Corsairs and Outcasts are all too eager to find new sources of income and the Zoners themselves are more than happy to cash in on the chaos they help create.

With that being the case, House Bretonia has been forced to make tough decisions in the interests of its own survival. There is no moral high ground to be had from this line of rhetoric, so let us stop pretending as if there is one. The bureaucrats, as they so often do, are more inclined to ride the wave of populist sentiments if it means staying in office. Such rash opportunism often leads to entrapment from lax standards.

If the bureaucrats are so inclined to take jabs at the wall between them and the enemy, then perhaps they do truly believe that slavery is a good alternative to the guaranteed freedoms they currently enjoy. Perhaps they believe that breathing in orange or learning Russian is simpler than fighting for your own place in the Sector.

Try fighting these wars that you're attempting to legislate the conduct of, maybe then you'll understand.

Mate, mate, 180 characters or less. Some of us are working lads, and you better have a license for that opinion because if you ask me, those allegations seem a little against-the-crown.
