No we should be able to get all the characters and POBs that exist at time of old server shutdown.

We'll see, it should solve some performance issues but maybe not others. It's got entirely different hardware (more powerful CPU, SSDs) on an entirely different network. It certainly won't prevent anyone from ever lagging again, we're still subject to the wonders of internet routing.

We allocate 12GB RAM to the game VM and that appears to be fine for what we run. We allocate 4 VCPUs to the game VM.

Edit: Oh, also, SSDs in the new server. Didn't have those on old.

Is it going to be in the same region or a different one? If different, where is it being moved to?

Still in Europe, but Finland now.
