It has come to my attention over time that a lot of people have no idea what the difference between the BHG and BHG Core is. It has been explained before in a thread a while back made by Dancing Lady about who owned the Core (you lot all do, we are crap pilots :P). I'll be explaining here for the peeps who care to know.

The Bounty Hunter's Guild

The bounty hunters in every sense of the word. An organisation (guild) comprised of ex-cons, thrill seekers, ex cops, your momma etc. who chase baddies for money. The BHG collects bounties, provides security services and escorts. They operate almost everywhere in Sirius. They fly all ships up to gunboats. The Guild is quite rich due to booming business and rakes in quite the amounts of credits. The normal bounty hunters sometimes assist the Core (see further).

In short, these are the guys you see flying (mostly) around house space. Working for money. They are usually rp-ed as average joes. ( e few nutcases excluded)

There are several Guild Masters. Each Guildmaster is responsible for an area of operations within house space. As such, there is a Liberty, Rheinland, Bretonia and Kusari Guildmaster.

The Core

The Core is fully known as the Bounty Hunter's Guild Core. The name is kind of misleading. The Core, as reffered to by most, hunts no bounties. The Core is a PMC that rarely, if ever, provides services to 3rd parties. Why? Because the Core is extremely shady and a lot of folk don't even know it excists, or what they are after

The Core works for itself. Its goal is acquiring nomad technology. Why? Because money is power. and Power is money. Nomad technology means power. A LOT of power. The ultimate goal of the Core is secret but it isn't very nice, human loving or caring. It's safe to say that the Core are the 'Bad Guys' when compared to the Order. The war with the Order is being fought because the Order is true to its mission. They want the nomad threat eliminated. They don't want a bunch of power hungry maniacs running off with dangerous nomad artifacts. The bunch of power hungry maniacs DO want this. They don't like people getting in their way. So they will remove any obstacles by force if need be to reach their objective.

Thus the war war The Order started. This is the reason why the Core has warships. To fight off the fleets of the Order, nomads and the Corsairs. why the corsairs? Because they don't like hunters in their 'backyard'. APM, the personal manufacturer of the Guild, therefor started to create warships to be able to repel and crush the enemies of the Core who have warships themselves. The Core has near limitless funds due to its relation with the normal Guild.

The agents of the Core are not ex cons, riff raff or general lowlifes. As the Core is a PMC, its agents are well trained proffesionals. What's more, they are kinda hell bent on completing their task and can be called fanatics. Agents see their job as a crusade. They can be compared to templars and zealots. People say they are religious nutcases. in some sense, they are. only their cause is not of a religious nature. But that doesn't stop Agents to chase their goal with scary dedication, often reffering to the peple who get in their way as lesser humans.

The normal BHG hunters sometimes assist the Core agents. This is because the Core pays normal hunters well for assisting them. The Core, however, does not assist the normal BHG. Nor do Core agents (nor their ships) enter house space in general. They have no business there.

There are several Core Guild Masters. They are the ones who control the Core operations in the Edge- and Borderworlds.

Core agents are rp-ed as said above. Extremely fanatical and driven zealots. Some are worse than others. But in essence, they are all just as fanatical. They are rude to other people and snobbish.

FAQ

Q: so BHG and BHG Core are not the same?
A: no. the Core is an entirely separete entity from the Guild.

Q: why do BHG fly caps?
A: they don't. The Core does. To fight the omicron war.

Q: so BHG don't fly caps?
A: no. they fly up to gunboats

Q: does the Core collect bounties?
A: no. rulewise they can. but in our rp, we don't. The Core are no bounty hunters in the sense of the word.

Q: Core players ingame act like jerks towards me. They make me feel little and are snobbish and arrogant. Also, they took my pants and nomad specimen from me. Why?
A: Core agents aren't very social. They deem the omicrons 'their space' and everyone else is below them. Whether it be zoner, Order, LSF or your momma. They steal your specimen because they want to monopolise the tech for themselves. Every nomad is the Core's property in their own (deranged) eyes. Why they stole your pants is beyond me.

Q: but why are they such jerks?
A: because this is their rp. any 'insult', rudeness or other unpleasantness that is directed towards you is rp and NOT aimed at the person of the player.

That's it for now. I'll add content as I think of stuff to add. feel free to ask away.
Very Nice , Thanks.

Sigged.

ON-TOPIC: My RP plans have Order as 'Bad Guys', Nomads as 'Good Guys' and BHG as... IDK. It's mainly the standard BH who raid Alpha from my experience.
Very informative for those of the community who don't bother to read the wiki.

I hope you realise that I will now hunt you down and eat your spleen.
' Wrote:Q: why do the Core never raid Alpha?
A: the Core has no business there. dead outcasts serve no purpose. The Core concentrates its forces where it matters: at the 'eastern' omicrons.

Why do you keep flying through Alpha all the time then?
Alpha =/= Orderless shortcut to ***om.....nom....nom***
Actually, the last comment by Dash is not entirely accurate.

The current target list for the Core is : Nomads - Wilde - Order - Outcasts - Corsairs; and in that order (if you'll pardon the pun).

The problem is / was that there was no close and/or convenient place for us to base. And we were prohibited from entering Sigma 13. Now that things have been changed a bit ... well, the Outcasts are going to receive quite a bit more attention from us. We understand you worship the Nomads, so you must know something of their technology.

(Granted, that knowledge of your worship is sort of like knowing that all Corsairs are cannibals - it's RP knowledge that isn't necessarily true...)

All the time, no less.

The Core has passed through there once since... since... I can't even remember since when. and back then we were persuing an Order fleet.

O.o Why are Outcasts before Corsairs?

I mean - they do have an NAP with the squiddies, but it's not an alliance like what the Order and the Corsairs have.

OC just float about and just shoot at whatever lawfuls that happen to drift by while Corsairs do that AND produce ships for the Order :/
