Colonel Lewis reporting in,

Today marks another triumphant day for the Republic. As many have no doubt seen, construction of a "Thanatos" class cruiser has been underway for quite sometime at Sabah Shipyards. The latest in Colonial production, this new vessel has been outfitted with enhanced equipment and superior defensive and offensive capabilities, and will serve in the forward fleet under my command.

Upon disembarking Sabah proper, one of many shuttle craft with myself and other flight officers aboard took a rather scenic route before docking about the new vessel. I have uploaded the images the shuttle craft recorded.

Our approach
[Image: PJcixcG.png]

After docking, the officers and myself toured many of the decks aboard, watching as more and more crewmen from the shuttles reported to their various positions. After we made our rounds, we made our way towards the bridge, where the christening ceremony was about to begin.

As the men and woman aboard the deck were given a glass of Old Crayterian ale, my lovely wife, Kallin, gave the christening speech, of which I have uploaded in this transmission here:

Kallin Wrote:"For hundreds of years, we have gone to space. We have crafted vessels to carry us and we have called them by name. These ships will nurture and care for us through perilous times, and so we affectionately call them "she." To them we toast, and ask to celebrate the Cychreides. FOR THOSE WE LEFT BEHIND.

The moods of the void are many, from tranquil to violent. We ask that this ship be given the strength to carry on. The keel is strong and she keeps out the pressures of the void.

Today we come to name this lady Cychreides, and send her to the void to be cared for, and to care for the brave souls aboard. We ask the men and women of old and the mood of God that is the void to accept the Cychreides as her name, to help her through her passages, and allow her to return with her crew safely.

TO THE CREW BEFORE US...TO THE CYCHREIDES... AND FOR THOSE WE LEFT BEHIND"

Following the end of the ceremony, and the families of the crew disembarked, myself and the officers returned to our stations, eager to begin our maiden voyage. Moments from now, the order will be given and we will begin our tour of the system, ensuring all systems are operational and ready for service within the forward fleet.

For those we left behind,
Colonel Steven Lewis

Greetings, Colonials. Senior Officer Sophius Johnsons reporting in.

This report is a bit overdue, but just now did i get out of med-bay.
We gathered some of our forces and began a simple patrol around Tau 37, then Tau 23, but we received word from F.O. Butler about a number of Outcasts within '23. Williams, me and a few others quickly responded and, as usual, an engagement ensued.
We managed to down one of their Cruisers as well as one of their battle-fit transports, but then i was forced to eject. From what i could gather afterwards, our forces did some more damage before falling back.

Also - in regard to a peculiar incident that happened a few days ago, i was within Roussillion, passing trough to Baffin, when i encountered a strange Freelancer that quickly engaged me without any warning. I attempted to reason with him but since he didn't "take no for an answer", i dispatched him and continued on my way.

This is all for now. Let us keep up the good work, Colonials!

S. Johnsons, out.

Hello once more from Leeds; Flight Officer Johnsons here.

Not much to report aside from the usual Gauls heading our way here in Bretonia. The interesting part is that the party started and ended just as fast. F.O. Chamberlain of the Hell's Angels came with her Pytho to give me and W.O. Cryoto a hand against two Valors and one Caugar. We also received assistance from a secondary fleet Thanatos and some Kusari Exiles, in the end downing the Caugar and one Valor, the last escaping trough cloak technology.

Aside from my congratulations on the team effort there's nothing more to add.

A. Johnsons, out.

'Ey. F-O Zdunowski reporting in. Today was interesting.

After doin' a brief patrol around Coronado - standard procedure, start at the Gate and head all the way to Curaçao - I found it pretty much deader than JFK, so I decided to deviate a bit and head up Tau way. First folks I saw were at the Freeport in '37, and I struck up a conversation with 'em - a couple of Freelancers, with some near-silent Samarran brooding just inside the NFZ. Explained a bit about the Republic to them and gave one of them - ignorant as hell - a history lesson. Don't think it stuck. After awhile, Maverick came along and acted like a total jackass, as usual. Probably followed me. Creep.

Then, as if on a bloody cue, some sniffers decided to crash the party. Damn disrespectful is what that was. Sadly, we didn't get to teach 'em a lesson - after opening fire inside of the NFZ, they brought in a gunboat against two snubcraft, in typical whimpy fashion. Mav and I bailed and we're hoping someone assigned to this frakkin' system will show'm what's what next time they try to act like they own the place, and the creds of everyone in it too.

Bloody hell, the Taus suck. F-O Zdunowski out.

Good day,
this is Michal T. Stark, assigned First officer in training, reporting from training cruiser Praclarus Taonas with urgent message.

I was ordered by Captain Khaaros to report in his name, for he is currently trying to cope with our current situation. Quite a messy one, so to speak.

For the past month, we have been undergoing a training mission within Coronado system, the cherry on top of the cake being a one week recon mission to Taus side by side with a few assigned pilots from 49th Strike Squadron, the Firebirds.

What was expected to be a non-action getting-used-to-different-area mission, turned out to be a successful capture mission in the end.

Yesterday, we encountered an Outcast convoy in Tau-23, consisting of two Dromedary transports, two Tridente gunships and several fighters. Cargo scans confirmed a platoon of Outcast pilots being transported in one Dromedary, and a full load of military equipment in the other.

Captain Khaaros ordered an immediate intervention, destroying the equipment filled Dromedary and one gunship in the first weapon salve. While the Firebirds were taking care of the enemy fighters, we stood toe-to-toe with the remaining Tridente. While taking some minor hull damage and one sadly successful destruction of Cerberus turret, we managed to take the gunship down without any delay or losses on crew.

Without any defense left, the last Dromedary, filled with Outcast pilots, was boarded by our assault team and taken over without any problems. We then tried to fetch any equipment we could, loading it in cargo bay one, while the Outcasts held at gunpoint in cargo bay two. We were unable to retrieve any intel from the transport or the wrecks of Outcasts ships destroyed in battle, and so the Captain decided to crash the Dromedary into the sun due to unability to operate the ship to any useful point.

Captain Khaaros then decided to end the Taus mission prematurely, in order to transport the captured to a Colonial facility for a possible interrogation.
We were escorted by Firebirds to the edge of Baffin, from where we carried on our own towards Coronado.

Currently, we are docked at Sabah Shipyard for repairs and replacement of the destroyed Cerberus turret, with the prisoners in lockdown.

The total count of enemy personel captured: 43

I am awaiting orders regarding the follow-up procedures.

Warrant officer Michal T. Stark out.

Your Commander here,

There have been several engagements with both the Charles Royalist and Maltese forces, some of the latter defending Malta from the Military. I personally commanded two such strikes.

For the former, while commanding the Athena, a Gallic gunboat and cruiser were destroyed with the assistance of one of our Firebirds and a Warrant Officer.

In Omicron Alpha, aboard the Typhoeus alongside the Prometheus and Asteria, the Ranseur Dreadnought badtrip did not last long, although we were driven out before further damage could be dealt.

A second and more varied strike consisting of the Prometheus, Athena and several Firebirds in their Nyx fighters, was more fruitful. It appears we only crippled badtrip in our previous engagement for it was present and removed once again. Although initially surprised by its presence, a Scylla of the Rogues was spotted assaulting us and was soon significantly damaged. Slipstream was able to shoot down two opposing fighters under the cover of our heavy fire and the other fighters.

They shall feel the sting of these movements as we continue them.

So say we all,
Commander Roger Anders

S.O. Frost racking up the kills,

Heard the shouts from Cortez that some Ghosts were making the place look bad, so I chased Mercer out of the bar and the two of us popped out to see them flying right by Barrier Gate Station. We managed to catch one alone before they dragged it into Baffin. This I wasn't too bothered about, but she thought it'd be a good idea to hide on Shasta. Not a great idea, if they make a habit of it we can talk to the TAZ loons.
Of course, as soon as it gets a bit more evenly matched the rest of the Angels show up to help. They could have helped out earlier, but Laz and I kept on our separate duels. The timing of the victories though, maybe not so separate. An easy win for the Colonials.

Greetings, Colonials. Senior Officer Johnsons reporting from Falkland.

Quite the interesting runs after my trip to Coronado (since the influx of new recruits). I came back to the Taus and had a solo patrol the other day on my Pytho, but managed to bump into an independent Colonial, Alpha Aston, and later on with W.O. Yvling. As we continued our flight, we intercepted an Outcast Battleship, whose captain was arguing with two IMG cruiser captains. Of course, the argument escalated to an exchange of lasers, and so the Colonial forces joined in. The over-confident sniffer was put down quickly enough, but unfortunately i was needed to tractor in both Alpha and Asgeir's escape pods.

Jumping to today's business - the Firebirds received a call from the IMG about the 101st and Raiders back in '23. I managed to come about in time and help with the defense, and F.O. Butler joined me shortly. Our combined forces took down two targets in T-23 and another one in T-37, before i was forced to eject. From what i hear the outcasts were pushed back in the end.

Flight Officer A. Johnsons here.

Well this was another one of those busy, crazy, days. After coming around Leeds for hearing about an impending Gaul attack, I noticed an Outcast Capital ship in the planet's orbit, but strangely enough it was there to help against the Gauls. I must say i don't like it... but for once, the sniffers have some brain.

Then again - it didn't take long before a fleet of 6 Valors and a few snubs came in weapons range, so I helped with the defense along with BAF, Judge and Council forces. Using proper coordination we managed to take out all the Gallic Battleships, while i could help with (and record) three of them. The required footage will be uploaded shortly.

This is Warrant Officer Lergae Merlorn, today in Tau-29 i encountered 2 ( later 3 ) Kusari Navy Pilots tagged K-Tau.
They stopped me near Freeport 6 and told me that i was pirating in Tau-29 and that i should instantly pay a Bill of 6 Million Credits
I delayed them until an 17th Agent arrived to mostly take over the Situation they told us they were under Contract by the XTF.
After getting them away from Freeport 6 and getting reinforced by an 49th Officer and the Cruiser Epimethues the 17th Agent held them into entering an Skirmish with us I managed to destroy one Enemy Fighter in the following Fight against the second Fighter Pilot my Ship got Destroyed and i got picked up by the Cruiser next to the 49th Agent that got blown out of the Sky by the Enemy Komainu Battlecruiser.
The Fight ended with us being Victorious.
Me and the 49th Pilot got dropped off on Pecos

Greetings,
this is Flight Officer Michal T. Stark reporting in the name of Captain Khaaros of the Colonial cruiser Praclarus Taonas.

We were undergoing a battlestations training mission in Cortez system, when we were forwarded a Call to Arms order by a Colonial Movers pilot Valos Kor of the Taoth Vaclarush vessel.

There was a report of several Gallic capital vessels raiding the Leeds system and all available units were to report. Captain Khaaros ordered immedeate hyperdrive jump, but when the jump sequence completed and we arrived to the target destination, there were no Gallic ships on our radar.

It soon turned out that the Gallic fleet fled, and whether it was a reaction of the event to come or not, we were happy. But the worst was on our doorstep.

We were finishing a patrol route near the Leeds -> Tau-31 jumpgate, when we detected an unknown hostile vessel on our radar. I have never seen anything like before, the scans were reading massive life signatures from the hull structure, rather than metalic plating. It soon turned out it was the fabled Nomads battleship.

It jumped to Tau-31 system through the jumphole and Captain Khaaros ordered a pursuit. On the other side, a battle raged.

It took us a lot of time and many casualties of the joined Bretonian, Colonial, Council and IMG forces to take all 4 Nomad battleships down, but in the wake of destruction, we stood victorious. For a price though.

After we tractored in as many lifepods as we could, we were to return home for repairs, but we got another warning about approaching Gallic forces. The Valors had returned. 4 of them.

The remaining battle-able forces in the area were not enough to counter the Gallic attack though, so we had to issue a retreat. Safety of the survivors was a priority.

During the retreat, we sustained some damage to sublight engines, hull and life-support, rendering the cruiser Praclarus Taonas unoperationable for a few days. The massive repairs have already been issued on Sabah Shipyaard though.

Greetings, Colonial Friends.

This is a short combat report about yesterday's fighting in Tau 23 Tau 37, in which I was commanding the Colonial Thanatos cruiser class vessel Typheous. The engagement started when IMG came under attack by Wilde forces, but at that time the situation seemed covered and the enemy was routed with the help of the Thanathos cruiser Prometheus.

We confirm the kills of an Isejin Wilde Destroyer of Kusari build and the destruction of two small combat fighters of the enemy by the Prometheus.

The situation changed when Gauls arrived with two Valors and some fighter/bomber cover wings. A Colonial attempt to pin the Valors down failed, as Outcast and Isejin forces attacked the bombers and wiped them out before the Valors could be engaged.

That was the time when I launched on the Typheous to assist the already damaged Prometheus. We found her battling two Valors at close range and relieved her.

Both Valors jumped to Tau 37 because the asteroid fields of T23 favour the agile Thanatos. We gave chase and engaged them again. The Prometheus got surprised by an uncloaking Valor and had to evade, allowing a Valor to Cruise off.

The Typheous took up the chase and destroyed the Valor class ship called RNS Dauphine. The wreck is somewhere east of the sun, barely inside the corona.

After the engagement, we hurried back to assist the Prometheus that was barely running any more, but their Commander had wrecked the third enemy warship already. The Valor was engaged and destroyed, saving the Prometheus just on time.

We retreated for repairs, when a Colonial 27th wing jumped into Tau 37, hard pressed by Outcast fighters. Having lost an entire wing of fighters and bombers to them, we decided to not let any more go down today and covered them. Two Outcast fighters were downed in the process before the rest decided to retreat towards Freeport 10, likely Alpha.

Commander M.J. Skinner

Well, it's not that bad, probably could be worse, but not much. After all, our troops are actually literate. And they don't crash their planes during takeoff.

me and Alpharius have been fiddling around the upper Taus to try and cause as much trouble as two fighters can, we learned a few things about the enemy, but as usual, we got greedy. All in due time -

We took off from Hades and proceeded to monitor the situation in T23, reaching as far as the old BMM site. Not sure if it's the Royals' doing, but seems like running slaves and cardamine died down completely. All civilian traffic we met were unaffiliated, legit trades, which reminds me of a VERY inportant issue:

We need orders on how to handle trade ships carrying prisoners into gallia, we managed to eyeball one just today, making a quick passage from T31, straight to Languedoc. Now, you don't have to be a genius to realize who will be hosting those people. And I think I have every right to suspect, that some of those people carried are Bretonian POWs, maybe even our own. I didn't even open comms with that ship, lacking orders on the matter, but the troops, particularly those working at the enemy's doorstep will need clear instructions on how to handle various merchant marine encounters, depending on the carried cargo.

Following that, we got word, that the Royal garrison was mobilzing, took them aout 10 minutes since me and alpharius appeared in 23. Compared to the Maltese, that's quite sloppy. They dispateched 4 smalls, so we went ghost to see how much they can muster and in what time. apparently, after a few minutes they departed southward and seemingly left one figher behind in 44 - I decided to attempt fishing it out and dealing him some damage before he could get help and by the way try and teach our man how to double-play... Well, it was going about as I expected til one more fighter arrived and we couldn't keep damage stability anymore. The broader implication though - only one reinforcing fighter appeared. Either their entire garrison in the upper Taus amounts about half a dozen smalls plus the reg-mandatory support ships and fortifications...

sure, we got shot down, It's kinda inevitable given the employed quality and quantity of troops. Might not be this week or even month, but the whole situation is improving for us. Not for them.

Capn' Jack out.
