There are so much zone where no Influence of any police well BHG is almost only one who can help traders there.
Wait, so do I get it right that you tend to escort in a cruiser?

Bounty Hunters Guild ID Wrote:Pilot carrying this ID is a Bounty Hunter, who:

Can be contracted to escort lawful ships and fulfill lawful bounty contracts.
Cannot ally with any unlawfuls.
Cannot use any transports with more than 4,200 cargo.

Allowed ships: Fighters, Bombers, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats.
Escorting allowed, Cruisers not.

Bounty Hunters Guild Core ID Wrote:Pilot carrying this ID is a member of the BHG Core who:

Can demand contraband, levy fines, and destroy ships if they refuse to comply with contraband demands, refuse to cooperate or are affiliated with a house at war with BHG Core in the Omicrons.
Can hunt pirates and terrorists within the Omicrons and Omegas.
Can freely engage Order and Nomad players.
Can demand nomad biologics.
Cannot participate in unlawful actions except as described above.
May not enter any system containing a jumpgate while flying a cruiser or larger.

Allowed ships: Fighters, Bombers, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats, Cruisers, Battleships
Cruisers allowed, escorting in cruiser only in systems without a jumpgate, hunting pirates and terrorists only in Omicrons and Omegas.

Means you are allowed to do what you claimed to do nowhere near any Police ZoI. With any of these IDs. Somehow I still feel you are complaining about pirates within houses.

(why do I smell sanction...?)

PS: Bombers are to take out bigger ships. Try them and then talk about them.

BHG gunboats vs corsair BS yes big deal.

You don`t see much BS its not coz ID its coz it cost but coz it cost lot and there are really low reason to buy BHG BS you can`t us it that much as should it. Like i told you before nomad and order players are so rare. Or i need go shoot NPC?

Well, the restriction to BHG Core ships were made for balance reasons, as no one would like to get house military ID caps anymore with BHG caps flying around everywhere.
But I disagree with you, that Order players are that rare, in fact Order players have more activity then any Core players. Just to correct this.

Now, as a member of RFP|, I will say this: If you feel you need escorts, then goddamnit ask for it, if any police player is online. I am sure, most will help you out, unless they are busy somewhere else. And in that case it is perhaps the best to hug a base and wait for the police until they can help you.
If not, hire mercs or bounty hunters. As SCOUTS!
To add to Merc's point, if you don't feel there are enough Police players around why don't you make one yourself? I've already suggested this to those looking to jump/scan in Bretonia so that they don't have to wait for one of us to go around, and you can help other traders against pirates, or clear the house of them before moving through on your own traders. Things will only get better if you actually help make them better.
OP. Let me tell you what it's like playing as a house military character.

You run from one emergency to the next endlessly, between pirate groups at west point to nomads at Z21 to Rheinland military in texas. It's constant and doesn't stop.

In the middle of that endless parade of hostiles who all want to shoot at you, you might just find time to do what you should be doing and (in the example of Liberty) flying to Rheinland to take the war to Hamburg.

While this is all going on, you are constantly bombarded by questions about house law, people asking to build a base or use a cloak or if they can have access to a liberty cruiser to escort their zoner whale... Then, while you're fielding this, trying to keep the house as clean as possible and trying tp pursue a war with another house, you also have traders crying endlessly about how you didn't drop everything and come to their rescue against two pirates...

Now, perhaps they are ignorant of the fact you already have your hands full, and perhaps they're ignorant of the fact that you're trying so very hard to make sure these traders don't get blown up by pirates... But that doesn't stop it being annoying when you are told "HELP HELP I AM GETTING SHOT BY A BARGHEST! Y U NO DO UR JOB COME PROTECT ME HALP!" while you are being shot by seven rogues.

It's even more annoying when following this sort of situation, that self same trader comes running to the forums and tells the universe that "the police and military suck and do nothing to help".

Do you understand now?

If you don`t see what means Bounty Hunter it`s your problem.

Do any of you guys really killed player with BS with 2 bombers? Don`t think so!

Okay, since I just found this lovely thread ...

I DO see what it means to be a Bounty Hunter. You might notice my signature - due to real life, I haven't been that active lately, but I'm still listed as the faction leader of the official faction on this server, and once I FINALLY finish moving halfway across the country ... as Der Arnold said, I'll be back.

ANYWAY ... to answer your silly question, yep - I've been part and parcel of many an attack where two successful and skilled bomber pilots have taken down a player battleship.

I will now also point out to you something that you appear to wish to ignore, the rules of this server.

Quote:4.7 Official player factions have authority over players of the same NPC affiliation, as long as RP justification is provided. This authority applies in forums and in-game, and applies to player faction diplomacy, and strategic and tactical direction. However, exercise of that authority, on the forums and in game, is restricted to official faction members with the rank of the official faction leader and one rank below him/her. The authority may be exercised through the use of in-game in-RP orders, which, if not obeyed, can result in in-game in-RP consequences (arrest, court martial, and even "lethal" force in extreme circumstances). Official player factions cannot, under any cicrumstances, require another player to follow non-canon RP if that player doesn't want to.

As official faction leader, I have issued the order that BHG Cap ships are FORBIDDEN to enter house space. Period. They're also forbidden from sneaking through the long way around to get into those few areas in the middle of the map that they can reach by using jump holes. Our large capital ships are needed for our own purposes in dealing with the Order and Nomad threat in the systems where WE are expanding OUR influence (and attempting to set up our own evil empire). This is non-negotiable.

This is a role-play server, and if you play here, you will abide by the rules of role-play while on here. As I stated in the other thread, if you do not wish to role-play while on here, please don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.
once upon a time I was flying my LPI , RPing a space police , as LPI should.
Poof , out of nowhere an ADMIN appeared , saying ''Reminds me of high school bullying''.
Since then all the flair of playing a police faction was gone for me.
If even admins can't tell the difference between RP and bullying on this server ,
why would I even bother to log my police and expect members to understand it's just RP.

(no you are not getting shot for a broken tail light , you get to pay a 80 credits fee , boo hoo what a terrible act of bullying)
Some of the police and navy do their jobs, but a majority don't. We've all been there, hearing traders being killed after pleading for help, while we see a dozen navy and police just sitting around manhattan in their massive capital ships, doing nothing to help anyone, simply chatting with random players from random factions. Or sometimes we're even being those traders who are killed when they ask for help from police who are only one or two tradelanes away who don't bother to come.

I've made a police character, and I would love to help people, but by now everyone's lost their faith and they don't even bother to ask for help anymore, they just complain after they're killed.

I have. Many times.

The Bounty Hunters IS NOT a Sirius-Wide military faction, so they don't need capital ships in house space.
Heres my two cents, having lead a police faction for a little while.

There are no police, and when there are police, they're either independents or under appreciated faction members who don't get the attention they deserve. There are too many pirates and we get tired of being killed or constantly engaged 'for lulz'. Believe it or not, the people who want to roleplay get bored of 'police prepur 2 dai.' type encounters. Or traders messaging us 'pyruts in <insert misspelled system name here> plz halp.'. It's tiresome and boring.

Police factions are hard to do because members get bored being restricted by so many guidelines and a small ZoI.
We don't do escorts unless it's in the ZoI. We're 9/10 times outnumbered and outclassed, and personally I won't EVER help anyone who isn't nice about it.

Another thing I've noticed and this may just be for KSP, but whenever we actually gain an advantage, such as numbers or bigger ships in order to win a battle for once. We're slapped down and chastised by the community because we took the initiative.

so heres a summary:
1, We don't get paid
2, Too many pirates
3, Police Factions have a lot of guidelines
4, We're under appreciated
5, Navy factions USUALLY treat police factions with contempt/like they're lower class
5.1 , as a result nobody wants to be police and everyone wants to be Navy
6, Our ZoI is tiny.
7, Whenever we DO win, we're the bad guys.

To round it off: If you want to whine about no cops. Delete all your damned pirate characters and start enforcing the law. Come back in a week and tell me you enjoyed your time alone, out numbered, and outgunned. Hated by everyone who passes you.
