Asteroid Fields

Primus Ice Crystal Field

A field of spindle-shaped ice crystals caught in the gravitational influence of Planet Primus.

Gammu Ice Field

Wrecks

A large ice field that appears to be composed of ice once from Planet Gammu's surface. It is not known what could have caused a stellar event of this scale, but a possible candidate could have been an ancient asteroid impact with the planet. This in turn may have sent icy shrapnel mixed with chunks of rock and crust into orbit, where free of an atmosphere, the ice managed to form a general orbit about Gammu.

PSI-N0K - H-4

The fast and unremitting precision of the Cruisers lurking in the vicinity of Gammu during the final offensive orchestrated by the Mars were the very reason behind the top Core battle analysts and strategists believing that deploying a mass-scale offensive towards their frigid home in such a small window of time would likely result in a dismal and pyrrhic victory. But against every possible odd, the Core forces buckled the defensive perimeter composed of Gammu Cruiser assault packs and the Carrier Orion deployed by the Technocracy through sheer aggression with only minimal losses, resulting in the Gammu’s subsequent and questionably quick retreat as the Core quickly established dominance over the entire perimeter of the planet.

A quick data analysis within the almost oceanic pool of data stored inside the data banks profiles displays multiple baffling directives followed by the large automation flawlessly. Such directives consisted in investigating and archiving nearby asteroid and debris activity, registering the radioactive emissions unleashed by the raging radioactive sun of Omicron Kappa, as well as relaying the trajectory of tantalized and foolhardy pilots who were bold enough to enter the vicinity of Gammu’s orbit.

There are several thousands of other such entries within the navigational archives, repeating themselves in precise and unerring patterns for entire decades, until one particular directive tasked the machine with repelling the incoming Core assault team advancing towards Gammu's orbit. In adherence with the glaring reported damage visible to the naked eye sustained by ballistic and concentrated high energy fire, this vessel retreated in the far distance away from the losing battle, prioritizing its own escape according to the ubiquitous directives dispensed from Gammu prior to their catastrophic fall by the hands of their aggressors.

Now, the thing from the stars rests in an empty asteroid. Inert, battered and broken, the impossible wiring tangled into impossible shapes still floating aimlessly in the emptiness of space.

The machine’s final set destination is towards home.

Frosty - C-6

This Gammu Cruiser appears to be fully shut down. A thin layer of crystaline material covers the hull. Due to the system-wide radiation, standard scanners are unable to analyze the exact structural composition. Livadia's published drone research registry lists this cruiser as "Frosty" - with a note regarding this unit's extraordinary behavior.

"Frosty, Gammu AI Harvester, registered entity #215 - nickname given by Alexander Winslow. While attempts to communicate Gammu AI units, especially cruiser-sized ones, has always been rather difficult, it was not with this one. I was talking with Tim about something trivial while observing this cruiser from close proximity. It seemed to be in a passive state."

"At the end of the conversation, Tim said 'Stay frosty!' while the comms must have been active. As immediate response, the cruiser reacted by repeating the recorded voice line over and over again - 'Frosty'. We are yet to figure out why it did it, but the reaction resulted in this nickname for 215."

Peeper - H-8

This Gammu Drone appears to be fully shut down. A thin layer of crystaline material covers the hull. Due to the system-wide radiation, standard scanners are unable to analyze the exact structural composition. Livadia's published drone research registry lists this drone as "Peeper" - with a note regarding this drone's particularly nosy yet pacifistic nature.

"Peeper, Gammu AI Drone, registered entity #378 - nickname given by Alexander Winslow. We marked Peeper with a photon-based tattoo after getting its permission. We are not sure why Peeper agreed to the procedure without any question. We assume Peeper finds merit in the idea of being easily distinguishable from other, otherwise pristine AI drones. Peeper seems to avoid conflict at all cost and generally flees from any non-livadian vessel. In fact, Peeper allows any liviadian asset to get close, yet not closer than 27.315 feet. No, Shane, I do not know what that is in meters."

The livadian drone research registry does not mention Shane at any other point.

Peloponnese Asteroid Field

The Peloponnese Asteroid Field is a vast region in Omicron Kappa, containing significant Zoner activity. With the Corsair's withdrawal from Omicron Delta, Peloponnese marks the border of the Corsair Empire, in which they patrol regularly.

Gammu Mine Field

Contains:
A constellation of artificial objects of non-human origin located at one of Gammu's lagrange points. The satellites appear to be a recent construction, as they do not appear in surveys predating 826 AS. Analysis of the formation and AI drone activity in the vicinity suggests that this is a defensive minefield undergoing active construction.

Skoot - H-8

This Gammu Drone appears to be fully shut down. A thin layer of crystaline material covers the hull. Due to the system-wide radiation, standard scanners are unable to analyze the exact structural composition. Livadia's published drone research registry lists this drone as "Skoot" - with a note.

"Skoot, Gammu AI Drone, registered entity #304 - nickname given by Alexander Winslow. Named this one after Vanessa's gaian ground sloth - because it might just be the laziest drone I have been watching. Skoot is easily identified because of its incredibly weak energy signature, possibly as a result of a damaged component. This drone seems to avoid the proximity of other drones. I wonder if it is afraid of getting replaced. Need to look into that, after the date with Vanessa."

CHI-70P - E-2

These are the unmistakable remains of a Gammu drone dispatched from the frigid surface of Gammu. The scarred hull, once composed of various complex alloys stretched and re-arranged into unrecognizable and mystifying patterns, appears to have been sundered apart by relentless plasma cannons, leaving nothing but a dead vessel behind, its technological innards still floating in the hollow vacuum of space.

The complete absence of any recognizable navigational hardware or data memory banks suggest that this particular vessel was shot down, and later divested and desecrated from the more valuable parts by an unknown party.

ETA-B3E - B-2/3

Scanner and data profiling confirms that this inert vessel is another drone sent the elusive Gammu, hailing from their eponymous planet. The sheer distance travelled by this particular drone combined with a basic carbonic analysis suggests that this particular drone was deployed for space reconnaissance decades ago, as the puzzling on-board reactor appears to have already seen a lot of mileage.

Any navigational data extracted from this wrecked machine only confirms the baffling protocols and algorithms followed by the Gammu, as the vessel seems to have travelled the entire solar system in an elliptical pattern repeatedly several thousands of times, before finally breaking apart and finding refuge in a large, hollow asteroid in a remote periphery within the system.

The latest encrypted and undecipherable transmissions sent by this machine back to the subnet relays of Gammu were met with no response.

Contains:
