Nebulae

Nordsee Cloud

Located at the edge of the Crow Nebula, the Nordsee Cloud severely dampens sensors. Large numbers of Corsairs and Bundschuh operate throughout the field, in addition to GMG paramilitary patrols. Fuel rich deposits within the cloud initially attracted the attention of Kruger Minerals, however Rheinland agreed to end all gas mining in the Nordsee during peace negotiations after the Saigon War.

Asteroid Fields

Scharhorn Asteroid Field

Scharhorn is the southernmost asteroid field in Sigma-15, and the largest of the three major fields. Significant deposits of Aluminium and trace wisps of fuel gasses were discovered during early surveys of the system, however the field's interior remains a mystery due to its expansive size and a heavy Bundschuh and Corsair presence. Daumann and Kruger both operate mining operations along the field edge.

Mineable Zone

ALUMINIUM ORE

Ore is a type of rock that contains useful minerals such as metals. These must be extracted through mining and then refined to produce a usable product. This chemically intensive refining process usually creates large amounts of Toxic Waste byproduct. Ores are processed and refined locally, with the refined output then being shipped onward to manufacturing markets.
