R1 Shiplines' first departure from the tried-and-true formula of modifying existing Series designs, the Reaper proves that the young company's shipwrights are capable of at least some originality. Inspired by the Skeleton's versatile base frame, but upscaled and upgunned, the R1 Reaper provides Edge Worlds pilots with the necessary firepower to take on ships - and aliens - several weight classes above their own. Heavily armored yet surprisingly responsive - thanks to its powerful main drive coupled with two additional outboard engines - the Reaper will not win any races, but will give its pilot plenty of time on target and the survivability to make it count. Those predisposed to a generous trigger-finger should, however, be aware of the sacrifices this design had to make to the usually generous R1 power cores.
