The Arbeiter is a highly modular very heavy fighter platform built with entirely domestic Rheinland technology. Publicly, it is the cornerstone of the Union's drive for independence from foreign spacecraft. Implicitly, the Arbeiter is an attempt to leapfrog Hessian and GMG fighter designs. Using their time-honed talents as shipbuilders, the Unioners have developed a space superiority fighter mounting a unique thorium MOX powerplant of baffling output, forging a rival to the Rheinland Military's Valkyrie, to the concern of strategic planners.
