Lesser Paradox Cyst
Recently opened studies by the Core and the Order discovered a certain tribe of Nomad native to the Omicron Lost system seemingly capable of mobile hyperspace travel. While the exact extent of this ability is unknown, it has been linked to an asymmetrical cyst on the front of the affected Nomad ships. Observers sent by the Core have reported smaller Nomad ships repeatedly blinking in and out of the system in regular intervals, suggesting that the ability to traverse hyperspace comes effortlessly and is very much used in a planned and orderly manner by these Nomads. Those who have been observed performing these travels have, upon death, left a small, hard object roughly the size of a pearl in their wake, which is believed to be produced as a byproduct of the Nomadic way of hyperspace travel.
The effectiveness varies greatly depending on the size of the Nomad and its health. This cyst has repeatedly been sighted only on Nomads the size of human gunships and, while allowing the Nomad an incredible amount of mobility, seems to be unable to affect any nearby ships.
