Designed as the heavier armored version of the first Loki, the Odin Mk. I had long been the workhorse of the Red Hessians. Featuring a well-balanced combination of adequate maneuverability paired with a good degree of protection from environmental hazards or hostile gunfire, the original Odin was well capable of dealing with contemporary counterparts of the Rheinland Military and Corsairs. However, much like the first Loki, the vessel was phased out to keep up with the technological advancements of the Hessian's enemies. By 828 AS, like all other types of the original Asgard line, a large amount of surplus Odin Mk. I found its way to the open black markets of Rheinland.
