    Areas of Interest

    Nebulae

    Eure Nebula

Eure is a bright blue nebula located on the edge of the Orleanais system. A large field of ice asteroids and the Planet Senonches are present within the nebula.

    Nere Crystal Cloud

Nere is a medium-sized nebula consisting mostly of ice particles. Gallic astronomers consider the increased crystal density in Nere to be the result of anomalous gravitational activity thousands of years ago.

    Loire Nebula

Loire is a small cloud of ice and gas which used to be part of the Eure nebula. The nebula has no economic significance and is rarely visited by any vessels.

    Asteroid Fields

    Beuvron Debris Field

This medium-sized debris field was formed around Maintenon in 450-550 AGS when active space construction was underway in Orleanais. Large debris regularly threaten nearby trade lanes, and EFL has to maintain a small fleet of several service ships to drag dangerously aligned pieces of debris out of the lanes' way.

    Freteval Debris Field

Formed after a silver-rich field of Fretaval, that once occupied the area, was completely mined out in such a harsh way that most asteroids were pulverized into dust. The debris was mostly generated by construction works taking place around Chateaudin before the station was dismantled. However, a few surviving mined-out asteroids still remain within the field, producing additional navigational hazards.

    Sarthe Ice Asteroid Field

This ice field is one of the largest outside of the Barrier region in the Sirius Sector, and the second by size in Gallia, with the Somme Field in Picardy coming as absolute leader. Ice asteroids in the field are varied by size, but the space between them are vast, making the field relatively easy to navigate.

    Sologne Asteroid Field

Sologne is a large asteroid field in the Orleanais system. The pirate presence in the field is among the highest in Gallic core space, and a base belonging to Brigands is supposedly located in one of the central asteroids.

    Montargis Asteroid Field

Montargis is a prominent asteroid field in which the Champagne Jump Gate is located. The field is frequently patrolled by Gallic authorities and nearby trade lanes are almost always safe from outside attacks.
