        Areas of Interest

        Nebulae

        Stellar Matter Stream

        >>>WARNING: NAVIGATIONAL HAZARD<<<

        No information available.

        Tiksi Cloud

Once-superheated gases ejected from the collision between Tiksi and Taymyr, the now-cooled Tiksi Cloud has condensed into a dark, heavy field of purplish volatile gases that obscure the slow decay of its parent gas dwarf.

        Asteroid Fields

        Manati Fragment

        >>>CAUTION<<<

        A medium-sized planetary fragment field.

        Explosive Gas Zone

        Ponce Fragment

        >>>CAUTION<<<

A medium-sized field of planetary fragments.

        Kara Cloud

A thin, wide cloud of ice and dust, formed in the hectic and cataclysmic birth of the Bering system. The edge of this collection of icy planetesimals represents the furthest reaches of Bering’s sphere of influence.

        Wrecks

        RES Dallman - C-6/7

The first expeditionary vessel of its kind built by the fledgling Rheinland state just before the turn of the second century, the Dallmann was meant to serve as a test-bed of the recently-acquired Liberty engine, acquired in 96 AS. Upon arrival and final deceleration into the sector, however, the experimental engine broke down under extreme duress and was subsequently rendered inoperable by asteroid strikes before the crew could successfully repair it. Left adrift without control, additional strikes then disabled the power and communications systems, leaving the ship powerless and unable to be rescued.

The supplies aboard the ship left the crew alive for some time, and one of their final acts as noted in the black box records was the christening of the sector ‘Laptev’, due to its overlap of the Bering system; a name that the Rheinland government, and Sirius at large, accepted alongside their posthumous award ceremony held not long after the discovery of the wreckage.

        Contains:

        Mantrid - F/E-5/4

A bounty hunter who survived hundreds of fights with Edge World pirates once found a desolate system... and ran out of fuel trying to find way back home.

        Contains:

        Jump Gates/Holes

        Target System Type Location
        Bering Jump Hole C-6/7
