      WARNING: MINES DETECTED

The Languedoc Minefield was deployed by the Gallic Union in 745 AGS (829 AS), in response to the earlier Kusari Invasion. Many Council veterans of the Second Gallic Civil War have expressed discomfort with the measure, believing it signals backsliding into the isolationist and xenophobic policies of the deposed Gallic Kingdom. Despite this, Union officials insist that mining Gallia’s Tau borders and imposing strict checkpoints is essential to deterring aggression by Bretonia, Crayter, and Kusari.

      Tau-23 Barrier Asteroid Field

A large rock asteroid field containing rich deposits of Niobium and Beryllium, it is the focus of Border World mining operations by both the IMG and GMS. Outcast activity is very high in the system, leading authorities to believe that it is astride a key Outcast smuggling route.

      Wrecks

      Wolverine - E-5

The wreck of the Wolverine, flown by Bounty Hunter Ryan McKeen, left as a warning to others who venture too close to Outcast bases.

      Contains:

      Edmund Marshall - F-6

The wreck of the hijacked freight train Edward Marshall. It was later disabled by a BMM patrol. Its cargo was Beryllium.

      Contains:

      Nagapasa - C-3

The remnants of the passenger liner Nagapasa -- its engines have been destroyed. It was chartered by the IMG in 834 AS to rescue former slaves stranded on Freeport 10. The vessel was stopped by a Crayter Republic border inspection squadron and accused of violating the embargo of Languedoc. The Republic claims an officer was shot after boarding the vessel to conduct an inspection, resulting in the Nagapasa being attacked. The IMG strongly dispute this story and have launched their own investigation. Three crew members and seven passengers perished during the attack; the survivors were transported to Planet Yuma by Crayterian ships.

      Contains:
