Marcus Walker was the commander of a Liberty Navy cruiser battle group stationed in California during the events of the Nomad War. It was only by his assistance that Edison Trent, Jun'ko Zane, and King escape Liberty's blockade of Manhattan, when his group destroyed the battleship Unity. His aid again proved invaluable immediately after the rescue of President Jacobi, when he sacrificed his cruiser to destroy two battleships blocking the jumpgate in Alaska with a hold full of gravitometric mines.
