She thought about this for a moment.

"Sure, that might be fun. I would know a good theater on Planet Kyushu if you are interested. And no need to smuggle me to the planet"

She gave him a sly smile. "It is quiet common for GC operatives to have several Identification papers on hand. On the planet I will not be Lieutenant Yamada of the Gen'an Sisterhood. I will simply be Ogata Michiyo, a doctor from Honshu, who is on Kyushu to learn from Doctor Holliday. Does this cover for me have your approval? Also, do not worry, I am a good actress."

Doc just gave a smile that said "You Devil" all over it. He knew little of the Chrysanthemums as operatives but he was learning more. The fact that Yamada was one or her dependency upon cardamine were starting to go into the back of his mind.
"Well then, Miss Michiyo, would you do me the honor of joining me at the Kabuki theater on Planet Kyushu? My ship is well known there so between your paperwork and my ship's transponder, we should have no trouble."
He then looked at himself. He was already in one of his best robes and cape. How could he top that?

She made a bow

"It would be my pleasure Doctor. Perhaps we could discuss weaknesses of the human body on the way there. I am sure you can teach me some ways to disable an opponent ne?"

She laughed.

He laughed as well about her statement. "That is not medicine but um, I think we can discuss that as the ways are many."
He sipped his sake. It had gone somewhat forgotten as the two began getting friendly. He began thinking to himself, "a date with a Chrysanthemum? How did I manage that?" Taking another bite of sushi, he pulled out his datapad and asked Yamada, "shall I look up a good time to go or do you already know when the shows are? I mean, we should know when we are going?"

"Do you not sometimes hurt the patient in order to make it better? In the case of our enemies, some only improve with death ne?" She gave him a sadistic smile.

"I will now explain why I summoned you. You brought me 5 injured pilots, Blood Dragons and Golden Chrysanthemum pilots. The Sisterhood was curious about who we were dealing with and so I took it on myself to investigate. It is not a bad idea to establish contact with people who seem to be supportive of our movement. Especially since in recent times, a new Zoner group with the designation Velvet has been troublesome to us. So are you a friend of a foe? You will need to prove yourself as you are an outsider to us Kusarians, but because of your devotion to your wife, we will give you the benefit of the doubt for now" She gave him a polite smile.

"We can go to the Gingekiyou theater in the Fukuoka district of Planet Kyushu. They are specialised in Kabuki plays. I need to warn you though. If you try to lure me into a trap, you will die first." She flicked open her hand fan again

He got a little annoyed. He felt as if his intentions were being doubted. "Let us get something straight. I am a humanitarian. I have walked both sides of the law, both killed and saved. A second chance at life made me see things differently. I saved those pilots as much as I would any other. While most are left to suffocate and die in the vacuum of space, I will not allow it. They too have families, friends and a purpose whether or not I agree with that purpose. I will not allow them to die that way." He then sighed and collected himself, "...and I will do it again be for another Chrysanthemum, Corsair, Outcast or even a Bounty Hunter. My Hippocratic Oath binds me to save."

He managed a smile again. "Velvet....I had been discussing things with them but a leadership change ended that. The way I see it, they have no business in the Taus. The administrators of Freeports Six and Ten are more than capable of keeping their own areas if they stick to the Zoner doctrine. Med Force Enterprises now runs as its own entity and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future."

He gave a chuckle at her warning. He stepped toward her and stood. "Trust me on this, Miss. I intend no traps." He patted where his pistols were beneath his robes, "You are quite safe around me and no one will suspect."
He then turned a bit before turning back. "So um, when shall we depart?"

"I have learned to doubt everyone's intentions. There is no need to take any of comments as personal, just as a precaution. I have less sympathy to my enemies than you would have."

She opened her handfan again, now moving it so the light caught the razor sharp titanium edges that lined it.

"Weapons are more effective in the hand than on the hip."

She closed the fan again

"We can depart in 3 hours if you like."

For the next three hours, the two made casual conversation while they dined over Sushi. It wasn't his favorite food but he managed. The Saki was smooth but he switched to something non-alcoholic so as to not get drunk. For whatever the reason, he felt very much at ease with Yamada. He wasn't seeing the terrorist that so many called the Chrysanthemums but then again, he treated her with a great deal of respect......as he did all women.

"The chest," he stated at one point, "it has a lining in it that keeps a negative pressure inside. That is what makes chest injuries so delicate and even so deadly if left untreated. It is a very agonizing to the victim."
He had mentioned this as a delayed response to her comment about human weaknesses. "To me though, the cruelest way to injure is psychologically. Words have meaning and can hurt more than any weapon. Psychology and psychiatry are not something I am skilled in hence why I have people for those disciplines. I am a surgeon and a dentist."

It was time to leave. He stood up and fixed his robes a bit. Smiling at her, he put his arm out for her to take. "Shall I escort you to your chariot, Miss?"

She took his arm as an excuse to check him for weapons. Her eye was trained to spot them in the the usual places and to observe possible hiding locations. She smiled.

"My 'chariot' is one made for war, doctor.

You know, the kidneys are also very painful when they receive an impact right besides the vertibre. But I would rather target the larynx at this distance."

She hid the fan into the folds of her obi.

"I guess it is time for mischief on Kyushu."

He smiled and gave a snicker. "Mischief on Kyushu." He then looked to her with his smile before returning his look forward. "That reminds me of a time past around a Poker table. Something tells me that you would have enjoyed working with me back then."
As they walked, she would feel the pistols where he said they were, one high, one low. Keeping them concealed but accessible, it was obvious that he kept them more as a defensive measure.
"That fan can be quite deadly with a sharp edge, especially the exposed larynx. Still, I know of the mission of the Chrysanthemums. If you want a man to suffer, a good set of sharpened hairsticks puncturing the chest cavity to allow the slow collapse of a lung is scary, very uncomfortable and eventually deadly."
"And if you want just to make someone scream in pain but not die, well, there are many ways."

They got to the airlock. "Your chariot may be made for war but no one will suspect mine." He smiled, "Your call, your chariot or mine?"
