She covers her mouth with her hand while laughing.

"Lets take my ship. A Maltese rapier will be entertaining when the Kusari State Police spots us in the atmosphere of Kyushu ne?"

Doc gave a snicker. "A Zoner in a Maltese rapier. Will I need to ready my escape pod?" he asked of his host. "I guess I should figure out an excuse or two should the worse happen like, I was kidnapped?"
He snickered again, "But then, you must be a darned good pilot to fly that."

"I had to prove myself in order to get permission to obtain a Rapier by the Maltese. So I guess I am. We will take your ship then. It is the only actually viable option."

She walked alongside him.

"Do you know the origins of kabuki?

The kabuki theater origins is located in the ancient province of Izumo. Established by a shinto priestess as a religious rite. However, the courtesans who were the actresses in these plays were deemed to be too immoral by the established patriarchal rule of the time. This is why the tradition became that men also played the female roles of the kabuki plays. The men specialised in the female roles are called the onnagata. But they to have a history of scandals. I actually do like to play on stage myself. We geisha tend to be active in kabuki aswell. And yes, we do play the male roles aswell. Kinda like a reverse kabuki, ne?"

They stopped infront of Doc Holiday's ship

He wore a gentle smile on his face as he listened. It was nice learning something new that wasn't medical in nature. Sure, he enjoyed Kabuki theater but knew little of its ancient past. When they were standing by the entry to his ship, he lifted his smile a bit. "I would very much enjoy watching you perform yourself one day. If men can portray women then I do not see why the reverse cannot be done."
He then motioned up the entry ramp to his ship and took her arm in his as he escorted her in. Once inside, he assisted her into her seat.

"Do forgive me," he commented, "it is a freighter so I seldom have passengers so that seat may not be the most comfortable. Can I get you anything else before we undock?"

She adjusted her kimono and leaned slightly forwards on the chair, to prevent the knot of her obi from being messed up.

"I had plenty of sake on Hikone, maybe some water is nice. I will freshen up as we make our way to Kyushu. As for watching me in a performance, who knows what the future holds ne? Shigata ga nai."

She looked around the freighter before taking out a mirror. Carefully, she started removing the geisha makeup from her face. Afterwards she washed her face with some water and put on a more natural makeup style, to better reflect her assumed identity of Doctor Ogata Michiyo.

While she was cleaning herself up, he put the coordinates in for their trip and poured a fresh coffee. He wondered about the criticism he would get on his galley. It was, after all, but a freighter, and he was the only person who ever used it. It was organized but hadn't had a thorough cleaning in some time. Still, it was better than most and had enough provisions for several days. One thing that would NOT be found on his ship or any of his ship was Synth Paste as he hated it.

Casually, he began the trip to Kyushu. He played some music on his com system to help kill time.

Mariko was done changing her apearance. Now wearing only some soft pink lipstick and eyeshadow, she no longer resembled the geisha, that Holiday met on Hikone. She also changed her kimono for a light blue jeans and green tshirt, covered by a dark black blazer. She sat down on one of the seats where he could see her.

"Might not be what you expected, but this casual look might not draw that much attention to me. What do you think? Does this look scream terrorist at you?"

He turned with a look of surprise but one of approval. He smiled and bobbed his head, "I am most impressed."
Be it in a kimono or a casual look, she made anything she wore look good. He then snickered at her question and countered it with a question, "I do not know. What does a terrorist look like?"
Upon asking the question, he turned to his com, preparing to lock into a trade ring.

"What does a terrorist look like? I guess everyone will answer that in a different manner, but what matters is what the people holding the guns on the surface consider one. Here in space it does not matter. We are equal as long as we can ride the waves to our next destination or when we have the means to defend ourselves. We are all terrorists to someone or another." She abandonned the topic and moved to another one while looking at the Hiyo cloud in the distance.

"Have you ever been on Kyushu before?"

"Many times," he answered. "Kusari rice is quite popular all over Sirius so I trade it. Now, I know that you probably do not like the fact that I purchase there but a food source to me is humanitarian......"
He snickers a bit, "...unless it is Synthe paste which really is not food. I disapprove of it entirely and do not have it on my facilities."

He gave her a kind smile, "I have been all over Kusari. Honshu was a favorite stop of mine for a long time and I still do go there on occasion."
His face dropped a bit as he turned back and looked ahead, "My former wife's mother still lives there and I will bring their grandchildren to them for visits."
He smiled again, "I personally like the fishing myself."
