Biography: I grew up on Planet Manhattan as an only child of parents who were fairly well-off - Jake and Hanna.
That is, we were well-off until my father got fired at the insurance company he worked for - likely some branch of Interspace Commerce (I don't know, I never asked) - seven years ago. The time he got fired was also the time I dropped out of high school. You see, attending an expensive private high school doesn't go well with being poor. My parents said they could afford me staying at school, but I didn't believe them. I didn't want to force my parents into poverty. You can imagine that my parents didn't quite like me being at home "wasting my life", so the situation at home was tense to say the least. I decided to leave, and a few months after I dropped out of school I managed to get a ride to Planet Curacao where I worked as a bartender. I didn't plan to stay long, but I ended up staying there until I turned 21. It was then that I realized that I was "supposed to be an adult now", and decided to try and make something of my life. With the money I'd saved up I signed up for basic flight training at a small flight school on Planet Los Angeles. I've only recently graduated as I had to take a few breaks during training to scrape together some cash. Helping others seemed to be the best way to make something of my life, so here I am, applying for the IMG.

From: Razor Cress
To: The Board of Guild Masters
Sub: Submission of Job Application

Primary Information:

Name: Razor Cress
Age: 20
Citizenship: Born Rhinelander, now settled in Liberty

Bio: I am Razor Cress, born to Claudia and Jacob,on the Planet Stuttgart, 20 years back from now. I had and still have some problems in English, but I am trying hard to improve, and I think I will be able to write and speak well in a few months. I completed my schooling at the age of 16. Then my father admitted me to a flying school. My father, Mr. Jacob worked as an equipment dealer on the Ulm Border Station, which is just couple of trade lanes away from our home Planet. When I was 17, my father was died in a crash while returning to the planet. My mother and I were in great trouble then, as I was young in the middle of a flying course and it was hard to find a proper job for my mother as she had very limited qualifications. I had to leave my flying course in the middle as we had no money left to pay the yearly fees. We sold our house property in Stuttgart and in search of job, left for Leeds. We were treated like refugees in Leeds, and the environment was very toxic and unhealthy to live in. The planet had been exploited in a bad manner. My mother subsequently fell ill and I had no choice but to immidiately find a source of income. Unable to find a job at par with my capabilities, I left the planet with whatever money I had left (less than $5,000), promising my mother that I would return within a month with lots of happiness and smiles. I kept on hearing about the IMG which helped the abused laborers of the Bretonian and Rheinland corporations. Therefore I left for the nearest IMG base, which was the Holman outpost with the help of a Planetform Inc. convoy. I was welcomed by other workers as well as the guild members there, it felt like home after a long long time. They helped me by giving me small flying lessons and slowly I started hauling oxygen and water to nearby stations as a freelancer. Now I have my own transport and I trade within most houses and live happily with my mom on Planet Los Angeles. I feel I owe IMG my life. I know I cannot repay back the IMG workers and members for what and how they have helped me but I am sure I will have to work throughout my life or as long as I am capable of working for the glory of IMG. Besides that there is always a sense of excitement while working in the distant galaxies of Taus, the edge of the known space, which brings me to the IMG.

Secondary Information:

Outline the Independent Miners Guild goals: To help out the unemployed and abused labourers of Rhineland and Bretonia and to provide honest jobs to all its labourers, in other words gives the right to equality.
To exploit the mines which have been ignored by large house corporations due to unfriendly environment for mining and transporting.
What can you contribute while inside the Guild ? I will try my best to develop a strong relationship with my IMG brothers and sisters. and also take the guild to new heights with my efforts. I will risk my life to protect its assets. With my basic skills, I hope to make a count in the community.
Which are your personal reasons for joining the Guild ? Also, which IMG Department would you like to be part of ? IMG has a strong unity and brotherhood among its workers. And I have a friend of mine who is well known in the IMG community for his fighting skills and escorting capabilities.
I would like to join the Transport Division as it is the only branch which fits my limited skills.

Primary Information:

Name: Zalman Hummel
Age: 22
Citizenship: Bretonian

Biography:

My name is Zalman Hummel. Perhaps you've heard of me. My name is quite ... well known in Leeds.
I was born there to a family of 6. It was a hard life, but we survived. My dad was one of the underbosses of a well known crime faction in Leeds. I doubt it's still around, but in it's hey day, it controlled half of the Southern District.
In those days, after the Nomad threat had been realized, and Kusari started it's war with Bretonia, there was ... chaos.
Crime didnt pay well when everyone on the street carried a loaded gun, so my da sent me to Stokes Smelter to "work that childishness" out of my bones.
I worked hard there, shoveling the coal to keep smelting all that ore and doing my part for Bretonia, but something always seemed off.
Even after I was sent on a Shetland to carry ore from Dublin, I found no enjoyment from my work, though I loved being in space.
What I hated the most was how I did all the hard work, and watched it all trickle away into the hands of the faction leaders, who took more than they needed.
It was then that I learned of socialism, and it's role. I had shed the skin of the pampered crime bosses child, worn the skin of the disgruntled trader, and now, decided to become a miner in a collective.
That is why I came to IMG, to pursue my interests in a honest pay for honest work.

Secondary Information:

Outline the Independent Miners Guild goals: (your answer)
As a socialist organization, they try to ensure there is no "elite" tier which gets the majority of the profits while the rest is split up amongs the rest.
Instead, the pay ranks are equalized as much as possible (with small nods to extra effort/difficulty/danger)
In addition, as they are a loose confederation of miners, they need to allow them their autonomy while also requiring them to react when needed.
Since they are relatively neutral, a lot of lawfuls and unlawfuls are friendly with them; they need to make sure they stay separated and uninformed of the relationships (especially Gallia which is the sleeping dragon when it comes to the Colonial republic).

What can you contribute while inside the Guild ? (your answer)
I feel that my experience at Stokes and abourd a Shetland would give me a good idea of how to mine. And my fervent support of the proletariat would help push the ideals of the IMG to the forefront of Sirius.

Which are your personal reasons for joining the Guild ? Also, which IMG Department would you like to be part of ? (you can select only one department)
From my colleages at Stokes, I learned of Marx, and Engels, and their philosophies. I learned of how effective the Coalition had been with Communism fueling their economic machine that had pushed the Alliance back. I decided to join the IMG to pursue my love of mining and to ensure the rights of the worker are maintained. After living in a crime family, I had lost my taste for the unsavory business done in the seedy underbelly, and was committed to finding an honest job. I would like to join the Mining Departments (though the Paramilitary also sounds interesting)

Nope.
Name: Captain Alamo
Age: 28
Citizenship: Liberty

Biography: Born on planet Manhattan as an only child, my father Robert Grant served on board a Liberty Navy Gunboat as first officer during the Nomad War. In 802 he left the Liberty Navy after having grown discontent with LN leadership during the war due to poor command and execution of LN operations during that time. With much post war distrust of the Liberty Government due to Nomad infiltration, Grant decided to take his wife and young son out of Liberty. He then became a freelance ship Captain, buying his own transport and shipping parts or passengers from Bretonia to Liberty and vice versa, basing himself in Leeds.

In 809 A.S. he agreed to take a job transporting regular alloy into the Taus, as jobs had become fewer and fewer for him(whereas he would never had travelled so far into the border worlds for employment). Just before arriving at Java Station his ship was attacked by ruthless Outcasts demanding cargo and payment. Even after complying, they attempted to destroy the vessel. The ship took great damage, and Grant was killed as a result. His young son, also Robert, took control of the ship and returned fire with little hope of surviving the encounter. After destroying several fighters, an Outcast gunship had the vessel all but listing in space when an IMG patrol arrived to offer assistance. Radio chatter from Outcasts before they withdrew claimed the hopeless fight reminded them to ‘remember the Alamo’, another hopeless last stand battle from ancient Earth history. The ship was barely able to be escorted to Java.

Now stranded in Tau-23, mourning his father’s death, the younger Robert was forced to sell the vessel for scrap and invest in a smaller craft for the return trip to his mother back in Leeds. However, his skills in fighting off the attack on his own had been recognized by local IMG fighter squadrons and it was recommended that he join the fight against the Outcasts in that system. With little choice, a new found hatred for the Outcasts and the need to make some compensation for the lost cargo to send home to his mother, young Robert, now nic named ‘Alamo’ decided to train to fly combat missions against Outcast patrols in Tau-23.

After making some credits (finally) and returning home with the bad news to his mother Elizabeth, he decided to go back into space, to resume his work with the IMG. Against her protests of the dangers, this time he decided to make large amounts of money to expand his own private operations. With the purchase of a miner, and entrance into several trade agreements with local transports, ore shipments began to flow. Mining and escorting shipments became regular, evading and combating Outcasts and other pirates during many trips into the Colorado System.

Secondary Information:

Outline the Independent Miners Guild goals: Provide independent employment and application of technology within the border worlds for mining and security purposes. Research and development of new technology to make doing so more efficient. Combat unlawful pirating and terrorist attacks within all lawful IMG shipping routes and mining zones.

What can you contribute while inside the Guild: For quite some time I have been in command of an MEMV-971-AH "Arrastra" Civilian Heavy Miner, until just recently I had been mining in Tau-23, filling transports and still aim to mine when I have no other duties. After mining I would also offer escorting services with an IMG Gasherbrum gunboat. I have recently traded in the gunboat, and am in command of an IMGC-104D "Sagarmatha" Battle cruiser ‘Daedalus‘ based at Java Station. I intend to contribute to additional security to anywhere the IMG needs it against rogue groups and pirates threatening IMG operations.

Which are your personal reasons for joining the Guild: I have been a loyal IMG (npc faction) employee since beginning to fly in Sirius, working hard at mining and escorting to build money for a larger more powerful ship. I agree with the IMG goals and stance for operating and would enjoy being able to contribute more. With many frequent battles against Oucasts in Tau-23 as of late, I aim to help shift the tide and provide better firepower for IMG in the conflict. If acceptable, I submit my battle cruiser Daedalus (Sagarmantha Class) to the Paramilitary Department.

Primary Information:

Name: Rüdiger Möller
Age: 20
Citizenship: Rheinland-born, officially no House Allegience

Biography: Not much to tell; I'm not that interesting. I grew up on Planet Holstein and worked onboard Mainz as a shiphand for a year or so. My parents basically needed me to; my father is handicapped and can't work, and my mother needed to take care of my other siblings. I did all the backbreaking work that Republican demanded of me before I was laid off. A brother of mine at this point was old enough to enlist in the Rheinland Military and bring some semblance of a living to my family... So with my prospects slim, I took my father's old Starblazer and worked my way up to where I am now; A freelancer who lives and breathes The Barrier.

Secondary Information:

Outline the Independent Miners Guild goals: The IMG exists to actually care for the employee to some extent; obviously they need to claim resource fields that aren't already laid claim to by the other Corporations that are more about profit first.

What can you contribute while inside the Guild ?: I know my way around the Taus like the back of my hand; sometimes I swear the Barrier itself is looking after me, there have been some incidents that I don't feel like I should have survived.

I have some experience flying a variety of snubcraft, but I've never been a spectacular dogfighting ace.

Which are your personal reasons for joining the Guild ? Also, which IMG Department would you like to be part of ?: I'd like to join the Guild because it has sizable operations within The Barrier... I can earn a living and at the same time offer some help to other like-minded people. Everyone wins.

Paramilitary would be my preference.

I've never been sanctioned.

Biography:

Wish I could give you an exciting story here. I grew up on Leeds with my Parents, Grandparents, and Sister. I attended public school, hung around with friends, Pretty dull for the most part. How ever my Grandfather was a pilot, and I spent a good bit of time flying with him. After I got out of school I spent a few years working as a pilot for a salvage company.

I was working out of New London were I met a freelance combat pilot. We became friends over a few drinks and conversations of what we missed. I became interested in what he did. So I gathered what I had, secured a loan, and purchased my first bomber. The gentleman put me in touch with a contact in Coronado. So began my career.

Secondary Information:

Outline the Independent Miners Guild goals:

From what I can see. The goals are to give honest folks honest work. Try to negotiate peaceful agreements, and when this can not be done, protect and defend the IMG members, and property.

What can you contribute while inside the Guild ?

I started working with the guild as a freelancer. My contract is to defend the IMG miners, transports, and bases. As part of the Guild I can continue to do this.

Which are your personal reasons for joining the Guild ? Also, which IMG Department would you like to be part of ?

The men and women of the IMG I work with are among the finest I know. Honest and hard working. There is a real feeling of family among those I have met, and they are quick to make even a freelancer feel welcome. Killing is not something I take likely or even enjoy. If I am going to do it, I would prefer it is for something, and someone I believe in.

I would like to apply for the Paramilitary Department.

Hello, my name is MarkIII and MarkIV. I have flown with a multiple of your pilots transporting goods back and fourth between systems using either my Pytho bomber as an escort or my Rheinland Behemoth to assist with transporting goods. I have done missions with a multiple of your pilots as well and, I really like the look of your faction. You all are very strong willed and well versed. I would love more then anything to join you folks and represent the IMG| name as best I can. I know you guys have some pirate problems and, I'd love more then anything to add some back bone and firepower to your fights.
