Nordsee Cloud

Located at the edge of the Crow Nebula, the Nordsee Cloud has severely limited visibility and often serves as a haven for ships from both sides of the law. The cloud's remote location allows these ships to easily attack any hostiles they encounter.

Asteroid Fields

Norddorf Asteroid Field

Norddorf is the smallest of the three asteroid fields in the system and has no valuable resources. However, its value lies in its positioning, as the dense asteroid field absorbs much of the radiation that would normally reach Saigon.

Scharhorn Asteroid Field

Scharhorn is the southernmost asteroid field in Sigma-15, and the largest of the three major fields. While much of the field remains unsurveyed for mineral resources, due to the navigational hazards presented by the thick nebula, significant deposits of Aluminium have been discovered and are the subject to early mining operations by resource hungry Rheinland mining corporations.

Mineable Zone

ALUMINIUM ORE

Ore is a type of rock that contains useful minerals such as metals. These must be extracted through mining and then refined to produce a usable product. This chemically intensive refining process usually creates large amounts of Toxic Waste byproduct. Ores are processed and refined locally, with the refined output then being shipped onward to manufacturing markets.

Debris left over after the hastily abandoned Rho Gate Project.

Pellworm Asteroid Field

Due to its location on the other side of Sigma-15's star, Pellworm field has yet to be charted. However, the field is plagued by significant radiation damage and the frequent raids staged by the Corsairs. Rheinland has not deployed any forces to Pellworm, considering it an unfruitful venture that is also in danger of destruction from either outlawed groups or the star's extreme radiation.
