Following the success of the Lich design, the eager shipwrights at R1 Shiplines quickly got to work adapting the blueprints of the Sabre's smaller siblings. The resulting Wight is to the Series Y what the Lich is to the Series Z. Up-armored and equipped with a larger power supply, the Wight sacrifices some - but by no means all - of its cousin's agility in favor of greater survivability in harsh environments. The Wight has found special popularity among long range escort pilots who prefer its greater fuel efficiency over that of the heavier Lich.
