"Escopeta" Corsair Dispersion Cannon

This weapon is a new development by the Corsairs, and is designed to be mounted on fighters. While it is an energy weapon, due to its unique behaviour and higher energy requirements, it takes the place of a torpedo or disruptor. The "Escopeta" uses multiple barrels to fire a cluster of high-energy projectiles at close range. While the projectiles decay over longer distances, the weapon has proved effective at applying significant damage to larger, slower targets at close range.
