The C5 series drones are primarily manufactured by Ageira Technologies to address the high wear and tear rate of inbuilt scanners in trade lane network in high traffic regions of the houses. Auxiliary data gathered by these drones can allow for remote recalibration of TLAGSNET sensors, drastically improving their accuracy even in case of single-ring malfunctions.
While the C5 series are commonly only seen following preset paths along trade lane rings, reprogrammed C5 drones are also frequently used in emergency search and rescue missions.
