Hogosha owes this weapon system to its longstanding ties to Samura. Although the Sakazuki is technologically based on a similar weapon system widely used by the Kusari authorities, Samura weapons engineers have taken into account Hogosha's economic concerns and simplified the design to keep operating costs and maintenance as simple and low as possible -- at the cost of little loss in overall firepower.
It is largely due to those efficient methods of reducing operating costs that, as soon as the system was put on the market, the top brass of the Kusari military turned its attention to it. Though purchases were quickly organized in a manner resembling any other such order -- with corporate lobby teams working around the clock -- the military's attempt to cut costs has had an unexpected twist as the government struggles to keep its corporate allies in check.
