From Das Wilde to our dearest gentlemen and ladies of House Bretonia:
It is my sad duty to inform you that your beloved Admiralty has decided that my associates, while on a diplomatic mission, were to be exterminated without question. The now deceased Bretonian Armed Forces pilots talked like street thugs and children more than pilots, and the final score of the encounter puts Das Wilde three fighters ahead, in addition to the many BAF and BPA driven off. Now, they were told many many times that we meant no harm and would leave peacefully if given a chance to talk, but... it would appear that the Admiralty condones senseless violence rather than common dignity.
Now, in light of this, I am inclined to offer the following: Das Wilde will match whatever diplomatic relations the Bretonian Armed Forces put forward. If we are talked to, we shall talk. If we are shot, we will shoot back. As current Bretonian policy has anyone we talk to being shot for treason... we offer you this.
People of Bretonia, I regret to inform you that due to the actions of your military, any and all ships affiliated with House Bretonia or trading therein will be hunted down and exterminated. If at any point the Admiralty should wish to end the wholesale slaughter, they need only consent to reasonable discourse between our two parties. Should this prove too demanding of them, however, we will continue to make Bretonia run red with blood until such time as there are no more left to be killed or we have recovered our artifact by force. In addition, we will be reserving special place in our holding facilities for Bretonian prisoners... they will see similar treatment as do our men in Bretonian facilities. In case your government has kept you unawares, unending torment and insanity are amongst the nicer treatments.
Auf wiedersein.
Addendum: For a full, open report of casualties due to the BAF's policy, we will be keeping a record here.
