Heeey folks, remember me? It's -redacted- we met in California and we had a party and all! Anyhow, I saw these chaps down in the 'lan and I thought of you! It was mighty proper fun, I wished you were there, but alas, you weren't. Anyhow, those chaps, from Gallia, they shot at some dudes from the fifth and also took down a 'retonian battleships. Some show, I tell you. It might or might have not ended with my ship being reduced to ashes and tears, but we shall never know that. But hey, I'm attaching some postcards from the whole thing, I hope you like 'em, 'n all. I'll see you when I see you, hopefully, not very soon.
PS: I also met this rather weird dude, ship readings were all messed up, but I didn't had time to look into it. Courgar it was, but damned odd. Rings all the wrong bells. Couldn't break the security because INCOMING TORPEDO!
Those hurt, by the way.

Good afternoon, 'Glitch'.
I'm pleased to see you remembered our agreement and took it on yourself to fulfill it. A sum has been sent to your NeuralNet account to cover the hypothetical losses you may have had during that assignment.
That said, I'd be glad to learn more about you, in particular what your objectives are and what drives you forward. I can only guess you seem to be quite concerned with the requirement to have 'fun'; however this could be a facade.
Certainly you would be fine not crossing our path again, yet fulfilling that wish may end up as a missed opportunity for you. As you could see, the methods used by the Agency I was assigned to differ from those privileged by Liberty Security Forces main branch. We do not hesitate to cooperate with valuable individuals to achieve our objectives; individuals like you, 'Glitch'.
Consequently, I'm convinced you could do much more for us, and we for you.

Honestly, fun has nothing to do about it.
As you most likely figured by now, I'm quite the patriot, it's just...well...it's kinda embarrassing to admit it but, I used to be a cop once upon a time. You know, the full package , badge, gun, ship and authority. It felt good in the start, hunting down petty criminals and all, but thing is, I became trapped in the system. What empowered me also crippled me. Nowadays, credits are essentially a "Get out of jail" card. You sneeze just about enough of them and people easily forget you murdered someone. But see, I couldn't kill them either, because I don't have the pull or wallet to avoid bars. I needed a solution but I also needed a steady income to fund my vendetta against the rich, powerful and most importantly, corrupt. Sure, I hit a shipment once in a while, take a crew hostage now and then, but I make sure they come out of it with all their limbs in the right sockets. With my newfound tech and pals, I get to extort smugglers too. You can't imagine the joy of finding a transport filled to the brim with artifacts in the middle of bloody nowhere. They have nowhere to go, no one to call for help. And either way, you cash in. You can sell what you loot from the smoking wreckage or accept the cash. Is pretty sweet job. You don't get that kind of freedom with the police, or the corps, for that matter.
And yeah, sure, it's not always the same "pirate vigilante" kinda thing, I'm not proud of it, but I have no choice but to shoot cops and other people on the flip side. Some of them might even be people like me, with the same agenda and "modus operandi" . The bottom line is, we all make our choices and we have to live with them.
PS: Thanks for the funds, I'll put them to good use and keep my eyes peeled for more hostile gallic invaders. ~G.
