*She nods*
Council
Im here in the warehouse number 3 The place where the residents of the "Straight Curve" are living
* She shows an dirty bay full of people children and equipment *
Did You all see where they live? How they live?
Since the Freeport is overcrowded and theres no place to sleep they have to live here. I was talking to Dr. Gabriel Zakirs second in command on the Curve They said that they managed to collect enough money to afford the "Shukensha Liner" With the few needed modifications...
Mainly the Shukensha will be transferred to be a mobile Town-Ship with its own Biodomes and such alike but at the sacrifice of the mooring points for the standard IN-House space. They just need you to arange the transaction for the Liner...
I hope The Councill woll see into this quick I cant take it how they are living.
And theres not much work to be done on your part so Im awaiting a qucik Reply
Oh I forgot... The New Liner will have more space than the old one so it could take more people than the Curve...

Bonjour, Iva.
To begin with, I do not know if statistically, Freeport 10 is indeed overcrowded or not, perhaps Monsieur Lucky can differentiate fact from fiction for us.
Regarding the children and people who used to work on Zakir's ship, I think it would be more profitable if we'd contact the Outcasts and make a deal with them since these men now have no jobs or a place to live and the Outcasts are... let's say experts in providing such necessities.
That being said, ma cherie, I believe there would be no reason to trouble ourselves with such expenses as we can resolve this problem with a simple business proposition. Unless, there may be other uses a Shukensha classed vessel may have and you only use this... sign of compassion to try and convince us?
I would very much like to hear the input of the other members of the Council on this matter however...

* She seems clearly disgusted with Roberts response but manages to somehow hide it*
Didnt everyone here sign a Contract with theCommonwealth right at the begining?
Thats what my whale crew did when we Joined...
Still you wish to sell these people to the Outcasts? They will probably end up as slaves but if that doesnt concern you...
Remember they still own their Life. But to the argumentation...
The Liner would be worth the trouble.
For first you dont pay anything... All the money comes from the pocket of these people
Second these liners bring Prestige to the group by their sleek design.
This one will show everyone that we arent some poor background group.
And third... The more ships we own the larger our influence is non?
Biensur it would end in slavery, ma cherie, that's exactly what I intended to mean.
Your arguments only make me want to ask you the following questions, madame:
Who will be in command of the Liner?
Will it serve other uses as well? A liner doing nothing but sitting motionless in space just to provide a home for a few individuals will never yield any profit.
Your argument regarding the direct proportionality between the size of our fleet and our influence is valid only if the ships we have are active and performing duties, madame.
Up until this moment, I find contacting the Outcasts far more prosperous, madame.
I also dare add that a simple sign up of an employment or business contract with theCommonwealth doesn't make them part of our fraternity. I care only for those which are part of our fraternity.

*Sigh*
I thought you would see the purpose ...
Of course It would be for research... Could be also used as an Diplomatical envoy
It also could be for show off... There are many places where It could be used. We just need the right time and circumstances
and for the commandering...
I would like to suggest Dr. Gabriel since he worked with the crew before that way we could get 100% working capacity and efficency.
"Robert, as much I admire your somewhat business minded approach to the disposal of street urchins and general childcare (they do have a tendency to get under your feet somewhat oui)? I’m not entirely pre-disposed towards your (no doubt) innovative methods towards turning children into currency. But we’re not in the Mint business you know”.
*Suddenly turns slightly more serious, but only slightly*
“However between your commendable thriftiness Robert and Iva’s (no doubt) overpowering sense of the maternal, there is a borderline. Whilst I agree fully with Robert that a gigantic, interstellar crèche, orphanage, whatever, may get theCommonwealth laughed out of the Taus, it makes practical sense to move our most vulnerable personal to location slightly more secure than the Freeport proper. In a sense, you’re very wrong Robert (surprisingly). These children are much as we are; all legal citizens of the Tau Liberation Zone. Plus there is that age old, overused adage of Zoner freedom we have to consider; people might get the wrong impression”.
“My only concern is that I’m not entirely confident we could effectively mount a gold-plated hedonistic pleasure palace of a space casino outside Freeport 10 in the middle of Outcast space (or so they claim) without somebody with a copious degree of penis envy attempting to fragment it. Filling it with children will not be a viable moral deterrent I’m afraid Iva”.
“Of course we need to protect Citizens of the Tau Commonwealth, and this is what the transmission is concerned with (Robert...). Perhaps a Gallic Lucullus liner would be more appropriate Iva?”
“But of course, in the end this is your project. Pick the pleasure palace if you will, I’m sure the influence upon it’s occupants will be...”
“...Beneficial.”

*She smiled when she read trough Achilles reply*
Atleast theres still someone here who doesnt want to sell theCommonwealths manpower as slaves.I see your point there Achille but since you pointed that out...
Dr.Gabriel had an idea the idea got named "Project Freeport"
Its based on the Liner and heavy modifications to it to make it resemble a freeport as much as possible... with one exception it will have engines.
*She glances on the other screen*
The project is now only an idea... not even on paper and still not discussed The subject to this project was supposed to be the Straight Curve but seeing its status I doubt it will happen... The Freeport was supposed to contain everything an normal one has...
-Living quaters
- 1-2 Biodomes
- Research facilities
- 2 Operational Docking bays
- The Casino *Cough* and many other atractions depending on how the project will be looking in the end
"Iva cheri possibly the last thing I would ever wish upon you would be to marginalise your creativity, but the ship your suggesting would be the very minimum the complete dimesions of freeport 10 or something approaching it in scale. Refitting a pre-existing ship is comparitively cheap and easy, and can be done in space, but the designs your deliberating would..." *groans* "...Require a shipyard, and I can directly affirm that theCommonwealth simply does not possess such a capability at this time. Construting such a leviathan would require resource negotiation, possibly with the TAZ or our... fickle compatriots up ’74 way.
And this completely ingnores the required negotiation with Gallia, and the massive crew deficit the project would require..."
"...However, the project is feasible as a long-term investment, and may even offer a return. Tell you what cheri..."
*leans towards the camera slightly*
"...You get this little endeavour of yours in motion, start turning wheels, and I'll find you a production facility oui?"
"Remember, back in Gallia I was of the merchant caste. If at any point I believe that this... leviathan will turn into some sort of Nephillim clone I will pull the metaphorical plug on it."
"Hopefully you will prove productive Iva, I have every faith in you".
"In the meantime I would position theCommonwealth surplus on a Corvo class stellar exploration ship. Corvo's are generation vessels; designed to accomodate families of crew for decades at a time in typical Zoner opulance whilst still providing a fair provision of ordinance for... reasons defensive."
"Apologies for Robert. He's never amused without a fresh provision of bar wenches".

I wish to turn your head towards my status... For theCommonwealth Im just a meager transport pilot
I have nearly no knowledge about science and ship bulding
Th project was born only thanks to Zakir and his crew wich consists of 75% scientists...
Some people have crazy ideas... and when you meet few wich think the same... Well...
*Smile*
Plus the idea of that freeport is still in the phase of thinking through.
We still need as you said the facility to complete such modifications. The part of needed materials can be scraped from the Curve.
from what Dr.Gabriel told me the Curve had 68% of the needed materials gathered for the modifications... But since the change of the ship... It seems like there would be needed more than that... What we have now is just 46% of the needed equipment but thats better than nothing
As for turning the wheels... I will leave this to Dr.Gabriel I will be just the Voice here...
The other matter... You suggested one Corvo... I have met a captain of one Fearless... I think it could work too? hmmm?
"I'm sorry Iva did you just state the project was..."born only thanks to Zakir"? Putain de la Merde cheri; Robert addressed me a transmission only this morning insinuating Zakir's demise. He's been listed KIS since then. Anyway, did Dr Gabriel mannage to extract the schematics before Zakir's expedition, or are we all permenantly waiting on him?"
*groans*
"It seems Krovin has mannaged to permeate every part of Commonwealth thought right now... Hopefully the drunken clot will resurface before something critical occurs, It seems we can't do without him and his... irrationalities".
"I'll pull a sweep of the Omicrons late friday TMT (Tau Mean Time). Hopefully I should dredge him up". ****Transmission off****
