Lack of involvement should be the first and foremost reason not to start making false assumptions as part of a "Let's revisit what happened" thingie.
What looked "nomad-y" was a combination of the only two effects existing at that time in-game being capable to represent some sort of shield bubble, of which one is also can be found around nomad city models, but not the other. A combination everybody was fine with, and at that time nobody thought it should be replaced with a new in-game effect unique to this SRP of Jinx, because nobody thought that some day somebody will start a crusade against those who had nothing to do with that SRP, but became owners of it afterwards, simply because one of the two effects is also around nomad city models.

The let's revisit was inRP character stuff from the view of Tobias Parkes for the most part.
I'm aware of the thousand explanations and the "you can't roleplay what you saw" excuses said afterward.
Edit: In-RP there was other reasons to suspect infection, including TAZ aggression and Gypsie Skripto (character)'s weird request to avoid The Order in-RP to Tobias Parkes.
