A feature which hasn't been in wide use since the release of first 4.86 update is color change. There are some programs which override colors, like FLHack, but they are considered to be cheat soft on Disco and are banned from use.
Here's a couple of examples for setup like in the images below: OneTwoThree(a bit different setup)Four(different too)
So I'm gonna show you how to do that in a couple of easy steps.
#1. Find your Freelancer shortcut and open its properties (make sure the folder is somewhere in AppData/Local)
#2. Fire up this site. Click on desired color, it will then show up a bit below the gradient/wheel business, in the list. You will need the stuff written in HEX column.
#3. After choosing lovely colors, return to window from #1.
What you have to do now is select your color and write a little bit, precisely the HEX numbers:
-color-white=(your color for Neutral/White stuff)
-color-red=(your color for Hostile stuff/Health bar)
-color-green=(your color for Friendly)
-color-pink=(your color for Group)
Make sure there's no # sign before the affected color!
#4. To activate the colors simply go to Controls settings in game and map Toggle Hud Color to a key, like here:
A-a-and you're done! But hey, there's a lot of Discovery Launchpad users, so there's a quicker way for them:rolleyes:
#1. Choose your colors as mentioned in step 2
#2. Plug the stuff as shown here:
Enjoy!
P.S.: I haven't tested out <strike>-color-yellow</strike> and -color-blue, maybe they work too.
P.P.S: #010101 - for blackie, not just #000000 - which will change nothing
Fancy, thanks. I'll have to give that a go at the next opportunity - I was wondering what the "Toggle HUD Color" key bind was for, it didn't seem to change much by default when I tried to use it.
