ENCRYPTION:High PRIORITY:Medium COMM ID: Phantom lead SUBJECT: BDM presence in Liberty
Good day
Yesterday while in orbit of Manhattan, I was keeping an eye on what appeared to be an AI dueling a secondary fleet naval pilot. A few civilians were present so I wanted to ensure no harm or damage was done. Out of no where my screens lit up with red. It was only on scanners for a second but was unmistakably a Rheinland Intelligence warship.
I immediately began to search New York in it's entirety, about fifteen (15) minutes past when I received a signal from one of our long-range scanners in Colorado. I made way for the system and once there, I began my search for the vessel. I did a sweep of all the trade-lane routes, which were all clear. I then set course for the area that the Xeno base is present in. Upon my arrival at the base I found the BDM cruiser. I immediately informed the LNS and ordered,"BDM|RNC-Brynhildr" to vacate Liberty space at once. The ship's commander then attempted to flee so of course I pursued them. Once I hit cruise speed I noticed that there was a great deal of debris around the base, it was consistent with Xeno fighters.
While tailing the RNC ship, at one point I was able to get close enough for a decent scan. The debris I mentioned earlier was indeed that of Xeno fighters as on board were no less than eight (8) Xeno pilots. Throughout the chase I attempted to gain whatever intel I could but the Brynhildr's commander was obviously well trained as he let go of nothing.
The chase brought us all the way to Yukon. Eventually the Commander realized that he was not going to get away so he had to attempt something extreme. The Brynhildr adjusted it's heading and pointed straight at the system's star. I believe it was an attempt at utilizing the superior armor in the Brynhildr than that of my bomber, it did have a CAU Mk VIII after all. However this proved to be the ship's downfall as it got way to close. The Brynhildr suffered a catastrophic decompression, I could not locate any survivors.
