When Maxwell mentioned the 44th, Liz heavily shook her head, and raised one hand.
"Nonono, don't get that wrong, dude. I'm in the 49th. There's a five numbers big difference. And the 44th? Well....let's say there's probably nobody being a member of it by now..."
Letting out a short sigh, she leaned a bit against the counter. But not much later, she had to chuckle again.
"Sooooo, we've got a lil' rookie here, eh? Well, I guess it's good to congratulate then, for choosing the right side out here. While I can tell you that I'm pretty sure that you are not anything special, it's good to see more folks coming. Did you already have got the chance to fly around a bit, to get some experience? And I'm not talking about these flight courses on Pecos. That's like...I can't really describe it, but not comparable to the real duty".
As she was talking, and having a bit of her drink from time to time, Liz almost overheared again how Max kindly asked for her name, also introducing himself. However, as the liquid in her glass finally completely dissappeared, she tried to get the bartender to make her another drink. However, as he was occupied, Liz turned to Max, and nodded.
"Cool, good to get to know you, Max. I'm Shanda, Liz' Shanda. And I'm sure you won't find out anyway, but just in case: yes, that's not my complete firstname. But if I ever hear you calling me by my real name, then the situation will probably escalate very quickly..."
Looking as if she was deadly serious, Liz stared at Maxwell for a moment, before her face lights up again as she starts laughing.
"No, on a serious note now: for you, it's just Liz, alright?"
While she tried, it was hard for her to calm down, as Max suddenly just cough as if he would just explode soon.
"Damn, is something wrong with you? Stay cool, that's a "44th Apocalypse", and it definetely didn't kill anyone yet. That stuff's totally okay. Not an easy pill, but bearable".
Squished bigly ~Champ- Thanks, you're a champ. "What's the word for when it feels inside your heart that everything in the world is all right?"
