Hunt,
These concepts fall under two projects, limited field shield generators, and a coolant project.
The first project is to test a change in shield generating strategy, allowing for focused fields to be applied to sensitive surfaces and hardware to limit damage, rather than fully preventing it. I've toyed with the concept with my suit, attempting to make armor nothing short of a tank. I can't, at least on this scale, use two field controllers around each other because the fields bridge, merge, and ultimately fail from conductive and gravitational arcing. I hypothesize that on a larger scale, not only could I make the shielding more potent, but incorporate a veil and a limited field to protect the same surface. Just a theory, though. I still have yet to stabilize the limited field on its own.
The coolant project is merely a measurement of Helium II, stored at lambda point. I hope you don't mind the power bill, as using hydraulic pumps to compress it to that point is quite difficult and power consuming. However, using a super-fluid as coolant, by incorporating silver nano-tubes, it conducts heat 100 times better than the next coolant. Obviously, even to this day we don't use it because of it's power inefficiency. Something I'd like to change. As a side note, the heat would have to be moved to a sink, a rail-gun or ammunition perhaps, who knows...
Let me know what you need from me,
