My first thought was that someone had destroyed me in space when I lagged out next to the shipyard - but there had been no pirates in the system or in Leeds, and then I saw this thread.
This is something else not related to the anti-F1 stuff. Sounds like the standard FLServer anti-cheat kicked in -- which is common with laggy connections -- the anti-F1 doesn't damage the hull (anymore) and it wouldn't return your credits.
Quote:Cannon, how will it work if someone cruises, + EK, and then logs out?
Will it catch those if you are within 5ks to them?
If you stay within 5km of them it'll work, if they escape to farther away then it won't.
Quote:What happen if a player, aware of this giant hole, decides to pull off his E-cable to simulate an internet disconnection instead of a F1? He will be fine? and at the end, somewhat "unsanctionable", since who will take SS if the game is now taking "care" of everything?.
It is a loophole. Not much to be done about it.
Quote:Guys, Cannon is asking that this thread be used to post ACTUAL problems with this. If people would like to discuss the possible issues and ramifications of this, I suggest you start another thread, so as to make it easier for Cannon to deal with the technical issues.
Also welcome to continue posting other ideas/questions and such; I just particularly want to know about ingame problems as well.
