Yet again, more Council blood has been shed as they continue to stand against the people of Gallia in their selfish quest.
This time, however, it was in the form of an entire renegade Battleship, that decided to face down two of our Battleships, including the Acre, while accompanied by a Sirian Battleship of some sort.
Word came to me from our patrols in Lorraine, who had sighted a pair of large, unidentified ships passing around the system. I immediately readied the Acre for combat, summoned the crew and un-moored from Dijon. After a few moments, the Normandie joined us, and we moved out towards the Lorraine system.
Once there, we found the two of them within the northernmost field of asteroids, and moved to battlestations, as we know what negotiating with hostile Battleships, especially Sirian ones, brings. So we struck while they were disorganised, with horrific force. We focused on the main instigator, the Council Battleship, which was torn apart by the combined might of the Acre's and the Normandie's heavy weapon batteries.
[color=#FFFFFF]We then turned on the Sirian Battleship and opened fire, but in the time it took to bring down the Council battleship, it had fled to a hidden rebel base within the field. However, knowing the power of our guns, we tore onward, and opened fire upon it. But before we could bring it down, it managed to move within the base's shields.
At the sight of this, and with the Acre's manoeuvring thrusters beginning to overheat in compenstation for the constant bombardment of asteroids, we withdrew, moving back to Dijon.
