I suppose this 'as been long overdue. As one might notice from the accent, I am not from Sirius. Not initially. I was born on Lyon, which is actually pretty close to Sirius, but not quite. There is something I noticed about the female youth on Malta, and that is that many of them are born and raised in luxury and relative protection. So many of them come to me on Corsica because their daddies are able to pay their children into the CID, and I do my best to, well, work with that, but there are some things that are not meant to be. Looking at you, Cinzia.
It is probably no secret that Gallia 'as a stark distaste for anything Sirian, and I would lie if I didn't share that attitude still to some extend. Fairly little of what I saw actually made me pause and think to myself that this would be something worth keeping. It bears mentioning that this is even after I served with the Royal Navy until my constitution failed me. Needless to say, I was quite the patriot in my youth, and I believe it needs no further explanation on why I ultimately ended up with the Navy fighting a war of suppression on what you Sirians call Planet Leeds. The problem was that I never really considered what I would do after I wasn't in the right condition anymore to serve in the Navy. Regardless of whether one was successful or not, there would be an age in which I simply wouldn't be useful anymore, and that is usually even before a woman's menopause, I noticed.
And don't gimme that look, it's simply the way I count time 'ere, alright?
I started wandering. Taking occasional ganders beyon Gallia at that time. It was exciting, since, well, nobody really bothers giving out accurate star charts and somesuch. It was rather soon that I was found by Exarch Loyola, who was the first person to show any sort of 'ospitality to me, and I took her up on the offer to visit 'er on Malta. One thing led to the next, really. I should've known Malta didn't want to let people leave. Finding myself grounded there, I was able to walk around while keeping my 'ead low, since that was what Enma advised me to do that before I accidently offended someone. The first people I really spoke to were those who approached me, actually. The Church, and this is why I am 'ere now. With my induction into it, I 'ave been working closely with Exarch Loyola to further the Church's reach on Malta, and I currently occupy the 'ead of the Corsica Intelligence Division, thanks to Enma lobbying for me after she 'erself couldn't keep that task anymore due to unfortunate incidents with the Lane 'ackers. As of right now, I am privy to what goes on in the chambers of the National Council, participate in the process of making decisions and oftentimes act as a speech instrument when dealing with foreigners. The implications speak for themselves.
I might not be able to be the most vocal about us, though I can assure you that my silence is golden.
