DONE!
FEED READY.
"So you're taking on the role of a non-existant ex-idol. That's sure not going to raise the attention of the Kusarian Authorities or anyone who spend 5 seconds staring at that Neural Net account." Pale bride is heard saying, the boot sequence for the camera showing on the log's feed.
"I asked the GC a favor, they have ties to PNT94 through some backalley deals in the past - their owner and their idols are aware and promised to keep hush. besides, they're a minor idol group." Nodoka says.
"I still wonder how Kusari, a relatively conservative nation, has idols." Bride says, still concerned about the viability of Nodoka's front, Shinta.
"With the end result of the fall of the Kusari Empire government - the government became more of a Republic, which resulted in a slight culture shock. Idol groups such as those were a small byproduct. They're somewhat Niche, but the fact that Hanamura-sensei has a relatively sound way to infiltrate Kishiro if, well, we go through with such an idea - is good." Honya comments.
Bride looks out to the sky from her small platform on the cockpit of the Navigium Ejus. "It's been a fortnight since we heard from Erzie or IRG, We haven't been contacted by that guy who wanted us in Cayman, and the only social interactions *YOU* have had are with some guy at the bar 40 miles out from here, and some damn Lane Hacker who looks like a, and I'm quoting a old earth movie here, "A sweet transvestite". I'm sick of sitting on this damn orbiting Freezerball, can we get out there and ****ing do something?"
"Look, I don't like this as much as you do. Thing is, we're not really prepared for much else, and we're at the IRG's mercy. I can't just ring up Erzie and ***** at him. the man and his crew have better **** to do than what I've asked of them, and we should be thankful that we're getting their help AT ALL. Besides, We're going to have to head back to Pennsylvania and get money together." Nodoka says to her concerned friend. The feed finally starts, revealing Nodoka in a silky seethrough negligee, her head resting on the console on her cockpit.
"Oh god why.. Why do we have to go back to that mining system again? We have enough dough for IRG." Bride says, complaining. "Well, let's think for a second - People are going to REALLY start asking questions if they realize that Shinta Nagasaki DOESN'T EXIST. Right now, she's a construct that Lane Hacker created by making that account that i've given life to. Until I have IRG build me a body and a interface to operate her in - Shinta is a large precarious sword of Damocles, because if it's found out that Shinta doesn't exist, not only will I be found guilty of Identity fraud, I'll be found guilty of hacking into the Neural net - Ageira will have my *** for dinner, and you two will be shared with Kishiro for dessert!" Nodoka says, irritated with the current state of affairs. The two AI look at the woman who has planted her head face down in a pit made by her arms, covering the console, which is dormant.
"I wanted to do this because I wanted to find out more about you. From what I've seen, you two are the most advanced AI humanity has made so far, maybe even on par with those Gammu AI. What if something happens and I or IRG or anyone outside of Kishiro can't fix you? What If you want to find out about your creator? That's why I'm doing this. My mother told me that you must always be prepared. Given I was fearing the Coalition rearing its' ugly head over the horizon - I'm not surprised that I would rather confront these problems before they become problems." Nodoka states to her friends. "I see, Hanamura-sensei. You're putting yourself through so much just for us. Why is that?" Honya asks her.
"Because I love you both. You've done so much for me. The least I could do is help you." she says to her, barely able to stay awake.
"Hanamura-sensei, you should rest." Honya says to her.
"Yeah. You've been up for a day now waiting for mail from IRG and the Reaper's Handler. We'll take the helm of the Pudica and let you know if we hear anything when you wake up. " Pale Bride iterates to her, giving a shooing motion.
"Yeah, you're right. I shouldn't lose sleep over stuff like this." Nodoka says to them, getting up and walking to her bunk bed. "Kill the feed guys, I don't want to do it today."
The feed cuts out, only to be shortly followed by a small dialogue between Honya and Pale Bride.
"I'm saving this." Bride says.
"Of course, because why not respect Hanamura-sensei's privacy and keep evidence from existing?" Honya retorts.
"I'm saving it locally, relax. Besides. I want to keep this as a memento." Bride answers, aware of the risk the log holds.
"I hope we hear from them soon. I really want to... well..." Honya says to her contemporary,
"I know what you're thinking of~~" Bride says in a childlike sing-song voice.
"No, I want to cuddle with her." Honya retorts, shooting down Pale Bride's idea.
"Oohh! Oh! Okay, I see. I don't blame you. You and her would look cute like that, no doubt in my mind."
"You can be such a child sometimes." Honya says to Pale Bride, the feed finally cutting out.
