Demands are only required before destroying trade vessels.
Oh Really? Nope!
' Wrote:"Hey, weren't you the guy who got away two hours ago? Get back here, time to finish what you shouldn't have started" is perfectly acceptable RP.
While I agree it should be on combat vessels, good luck surviving a sanction from a transport on that one.
Quote:5.2 All attacks must be the result of some form of role play. "Engaging" is not sufficient. An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. Being hit with a CD is not considered an attack. If a player is attacked he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking.
No transport clauses or non-transport exemptions.
Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is a member of the Liberty Navy who:
Can demand contraband, levy fines, and destroy ships if they refuse to comply with contraband demands, refuse to cooperate, scream that the Navy is corrupt ad nauseum, or are affiliated with a house at war with Liberty.
Can escort traders within Liberty and the Independent Systems directly bordering Liberty.
Can hunt pirates and terrorists within Liberty and the Independent Systems directly bordering Liberty.
Cannot participate in unlawful actions except as described above.
No ID clauses that would override 5.2

May engage in piracy.
Can engage pirates, terrorists and lawfuls within Liberty and the Independent Systems bordering Liberty
Cannot ally with any military, police, or corporate players.
Cannot use any transport with more than 4,300 cargo.
No ID clauses that would override 5.2

He already stated that when it's a transport you need to make a demand first, which makes this counter point of yours completely null.

6.6
No ID clauses that would override 5.2
Doesn't need to override it. It allows you to attack pirates and terrorists, of course RP would have to have taken place first, but the example that Hielor showed does that just fine.
No ID clauses that would override 5.2
Ditto what i said above.

Ditto what i said above the above.
Perhaps you should re-evaluate your understanding of the rules mate, and give em a re-read.
If you thought that Hielor was saying that these ID'd vessels could attack without any Role Play at all, you thought wrong. He clearly meant nothing of that nature.
My own options: Freelancer is a shooter game, people will Role Play just so they can shoot, it's how the game is. If a rule is broken (make sure to understand them well) then simply report it. Easy day.
Bleh. Not 5.2, but the transport clause. The guy gave prior role play, Puv. Which is all that is required. There is no need for a rule to be overridden.
' Wrote:Actually, no - having previously shot the victim (or not, as described in his scenario) is not a valid excuse for destruction (but is for fine/pirate) and thus is not a valid PvP entrance.
This was purposely done to prevent an Eye-for-an-Eye loop
That gunboat also carried a house military ID (Bretonia). But at least now i know what to tell him. Bounty/Mcerc situations are never my strong points since I don't RP them
Keep in mind though, you have to be on the same character you shot at them with - otherwise it's metagame and is PvP abuse/sactionable.
EDIT: If you destroy them, the 4 hour rule applies still.
EDIT: For Military/Police, read up. For Bounty Hunters, no. They cannot engage you for previously escaping. They can however engage you for the same bounty you escaped, but that's only if they shot at you for a bounty in the first place. This includes having escaped a bounty hunter with an indy pirate or faction pirate ID - though they can just pirate and increase the demand for previously escaping.

Second ship is illegal unless it's a terrorist ID.
I like your assumption. We're pretty much up to date on sanctions.
And because you felt like airing that I'll tell you why. The screenshots submitted showed no evidence of an attack. The only screenshot that showed damage was the suicide one. Insufficient evidence case closed.

T'was venting, but sure. Your response actually makes me happier than a sanction would - because it confirms my post.
I suppose I'll have to start keeping copies of my reports locally again. This is only one example of how a single PM would help.

I'd say you did by suggesting a sanction was coming on a two week old report. Note not hoping but actually saying it was going to happen.
Anyway, the first post would need a report, the context of the situation is quite unclear. ID would be the determining factor in whether or not a sanction would stand.
