"Well, Udo has never single handedly destroyed ten, nay, a dozen! Battlecruisers single handedly," Eva replied to Wesley. As soon as she finished speaking, she was surprised to hear Udo having awoken.
"Udo, are you all right?" she asked. "What dream did you have?"
"Well..." Udo shook his head a bit, and took a gulp of a nearby glass of bier.
"In mein dream, Herr Bauer was dere, und you were dere, frau Eva. B... But you were a Wilde! Und You und herr bauer und Frau Iazyne wanted to make ME a Wilde! Und den herr Wesley was dere und wanted to kill you, Eva! Because you were a Wilde!
Also, I was naked, und herr Bauer was looking at me strangely..." Udo appeared slightly less tense having shared his tourment with the others.
"I... I do not want that to happen, Eva! I do not want to lose you!"
Udo lept up, and ran over to Eva, grabbing her in an embrace and holding on for dear life.
He then spoke quietly, whispering so Wesley wouldn't hear. "E..even if you were a Wilde... I do not want anyone to hurt you... I... I do not know what I would do without you!"
Wesley rolled his eyes, and took another sip of beer. He muttered something about Wilde getting into people's dreams now. Then he said, louder, "I knew that Kusari chick was a Wilde. Knew it."
Wesley smiled vaguely at Udo's reaction, then went on nodding. "Oh yeah, came by Darmstadt a while ago while you were in prison... scans showed she had a couple of Wilde in the ship, went on speaking... after awhile, she practically admitted to it. Sure as hell spoke like one." Now he shook his head and muttered something about Wilde coming out of the woodwork.
"Man isn't even safe in his own dreams anymore." Then he looked at Eva askance. "Say... you aren't Wilde, are you?"
Udo, who had an 'Oh crap! I slept with it!' look on his face, sat back in his own chair, shaking his head in confusion.
"D... Do you think dey are trying to tell me something? Herr wesley, you do not want to hurt Frau eva like in die Dream, do you!? Or... do things to mein bottom... like in die dream?" Udo asked, practically whimpering the last part.
Wesley looked at Udo with a blank expression, inwardly thinking that the skittish man had left out the last part of the dream. The blank expression broke when Wesley's right eyelid twitched.
"Err.... no, I wouldn't wanna hurt Eva if it could be helped, and I'm not going anywhere near your bottom..."
"Danke... I do not know how I could survive without Frau Eva..."Udo appeared relived, but still somewhat uneasy.
"Erm... but Herr Abschnitt also said that those SCRA women liked me, Und later on..." Udo blushes a bit at the memory, before snappng back to his train of thought.
"Erm, Also! Dey said that Frau Olga likes me too! Und that die Watsas robot was going to experament on me und try to kill me with his army of angry Geishas! Und that happened! What does this mean?" Udo asked, confused at how correct the Wilde had been at informing him.
While Udo rambled about his dreams and the Wild, Lorette had put down her book and appeared to be staring out of the window into the Ostnebel.
In fact, she had been listening quite carefully to the conversation, this Udo was a mystery...he seemed to think himself to have great charisma, while, at the same time, speaking and acting in a way that would embarrass most people she knew.
Finally, turning to face the others, she said "Udo, you seem to have a fixation with the Wilde and them being 'after' you...is there any reason for this? It is often said that dreams are merely the expression of our subconsciousness. Maybe you have some...inner fears...you would wish to share with us?"
