Sehr geehrter Herr Monroe,

it was necessary to open a new channel to you, after your previous one was closed by you.
it really seems I've to warn you about the tone you use when talking to a law-enforcement officer.
Be warned now!

Furthermore, if you calmed down, let me explain the incident to you:

The Rheinland Bundespolizei officers have order to look in every corner, to find a possible hauling of contraband within Rheinland space.
The usage of equipment, designed for a greater ship class makes you suspect.
The reason is easy:
Contraband, while not saying you did haul some, could be hauled hidden in the cruise engine systems (as said, it's designed for a greater ship), concealed from the standard scanning results due the processed radiation.
As Oberst Schulz said already, it's not a common conduct within Rheinland to refuse basic orders while using such a piece of equipment.
That was the reason why you were shoot.

I know, you maybe have complains about the procedures, which are taken within Rheinland space, but they are necessary, because smugglers always find a way to interpret the Rheinland law on their own.

That's the reason why article 2 §2.4.1. was established. If there would be an overseeing in the laws, which can cause trouble within the Federal Republic Rheinland, the officers are allowed to act about their opinions.

But opinions can be wrong... for your case it seems they were. That's not a problem of the officer who issued your destruction, it is more about the response you gave. While our officers still stick to the protols, article 2 §2.4.1. enforces them to act according to the Rheinland Criminal Code about their personal experience.

Of course I understand your concerns about a complain, the way our officer acted. I also understand your tone after talking to the Oberst Schulz and the fine he levied. To let me explain that to you: The fine was levied, because this wasn't the first disorderly conduct issued by the [IND] within Rheinland space. The Rheinland Bundespolizei isn't willing to not recognize the affiliation between you and the Rheinwehr, but, with words from Oberst Schulz: "the whole incident could be avoided.".

As this matter would also be closed for me now, I'd like to see the [IND] sticking to the orders, the law-enforcement is giving to you.

Mit freundlichen Grueßen

Mr. Becker,

IND no longer wishes to play a role in the farce you call law enforcement in Rheinland. If any reason can be given for blowing up a ship, which is seems is happening in this case, I fear for the safety of my pilots in your space, and surprisingly, it is not the Hessians or Corsairs or Unioners I fear, it is the RFP. As long as using perfectly legal equipment leads to the destruction of a ship, and the risk to the lives of the pilot and crew, I will be ordering my pilots to divert non-essential trade away from Rhienland, that includes trade with RFP, RM and Rhienland corporate bases. Beyond that, the fine has been paid, and this particular message verges on harassment. The fine was well out of proportion with Rhienland law, but that doesnt seem to matter. I would file a complaint about this incident, but I have no belief that there is any proper complaint system in Rhienland, since it seems the RFP doesnt have to follow the Rhienlandlaws as written, nor does it enforce the Rhienland laws as written. This makes for a very unstable business situation in your house, and not one I am going to risk my pilots lives to help support. When you folks have taken care to create a fair and transparent law enforcement system in your house, maybe we will think about resuming regular trade routes in Rhienland, but business does not work well in totalitarian houses, and I wont send my people into risky situations like that. When you have removed the totalitarian tendencies from your law enforcement, let us know, maybe we will come back and generate income for Rhienland. It seems that even though Rhienland is close to bankruptcy, you dont care about creating a atmosphere conduce to generating trade income. Luckily there seems to be an excess to trade capacity going into Liberty, so I dont have to worry about my pilots not being able to make up the difference in profits.

Please let us know when you have worked out your problems, and we may resume routes in Rhienland. This channel will be closed until such time as you have something real to tell us, and not some complaint about the tone taken by a pilot who was almost killed for no good reason. Get your backyard in order, then you can call us.
